the food was delish and the service is great
Place was cute and very clean. Our waitress was so friendly & welcoming. We came for chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken and we were disappointed. Kids ordered chicken strips and all of the chicken was so dry. Ordered strawberry lemonade daiquiri and it was extremely strong and sweet. Unfortunately, we will not return.Side note: Mashed potatoes were amazingly delicious!
going to the barn door for years been out of town so we had met friends there and was on a Sunday afternoon so maybe that had something to do with the quality I had the New York strip it was a little thin and I thought the baked potato was great my wife had the the club steak and so did the wife's friend both said it was too tough and it was cooked medium just not the same as it was unless it was because it was a Sunday afternoon
Dining at The Barn Door was a wonderful experience all around .The huge country fried ribeye was delicious as were the baked potato and Caesar salad. Our waitress was very attentive.
Took my wife on a date night. She and I loved it. It was a bit of a wait even though I had made reservations a few weeks prior but it was ok, we didn't mind waiting for a bit. Food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We ordered the bacon wrapped filet with double baked potato. All delicious and cooked to perfection. Great part was, we were able to sit next to the grill master and got to see his magic in the making. That's how memories are made. Over all the food and the experience was amazing. Highly recommend to woo that special someone on a date night.
Good service, good food, ate indoors due to 20* temp’s
Waitress was great. However, the place came highly recommended, but it missed. Food didn't have much taste. The chicken fried ribeye was mostly breading. It gets two stars because the grilled shrimp was amazing, the rest missed the mark.
Country style atmosphere,Juicy tasty Steak. Great selection of wine, On point service and friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Handicap accessibility.
Disappointed and embarrassed. During the Christmas Holiday my company and I wanted to celebrate at one of my favorite restaurants, the Barn Door.We arrived early and was seated as expected, admiring the decor of days gone by. The familiar knickknacks and furniture brought back memories of the fantastic meals we had in the past.Once sat at the table and reviewing the menu I was personally shocked at the prices, as was my guest.Thinking to myself this will still be worth the experience to share with my family members who have not been there before. To my dismay that was an incorrect assumption, the overprice meals only served as an insult to the low quality food that was presented. The chicken fried steak was poorly done and lacked any type of seasoning or flavor. My salmon dish offered a very small piece of salmon and was over cooked. My wife’s New York strip was the smallest New York strip I’ve ever seen and was terrible, lacking any tenderness and even though it was cooked properly the gristle made it impossible to cut into or eat. The grilled chicken was a similar poor quality only it was burnt with obvious marks where it caught fire. The waiter himself was embarrassed to present the food and made himself scarce after our first comment of concern. As we left, I realized I had romanticize the restaurant and now looking at it as if for the first time The furniture is old and sticky and the wall decorations are of dark times in America’s history.
This is an awesome place to have a get together for big groups! Their food is delish & awesome service! We like this restaurant ?!
