So I'm here visiting from out of state. I've been looking for a great BBQ smokey flavor, and boy did I finally find it. I had the 2 meat brisket and pork rib plate. The really deep smokey brisket flavor drove my palette to wear I was craving. Then the pork ribs were just right. I truly recommend coming here and trying it out. This will always be a place I come to visit, every time I come to San Antonio now.
The food was GOODT!! Okaayy?! They also have live music! The restaurant wasn’t too busy. We were there around 3:30 pm on a Saturday. There were people setting up music equipment at the front of the dining area. I think they have live music! The lady at the counter was nice and the restrooms were clean. Small restaurant but their food packs a strong punch! #barbecue #whattoeat #placestogo #texasfood
I had the beef sandwich, beans and potatoe salad.The beef is so delicious; tender and juicy, excellent flavor. The sides are a disappointment; the beans have no flavor. Potatoes salad I added pickles and sauce to make it better. I would come back againONLY for the beef.
Always friendly staff even when busy. Whenever I go to a restaurant, or hair salon that is busy it reassures me that the food must be good and your held true for the bbq station.Always clean and mostly buddy with a quick line, they are very fast like Jj fast :)They have seating arrangements but I always buy to go which ends up being eaten in the car while I drive. Simple menu with pertinent and tasteful options.Try the links, the ribs, the brisket, everything is a must try lol le if you like bbq sauce they sell their as well that you can order to goGreatly located near a freeway entranceKids approved
Tried the brisket plate food was good with or without the bbq sauce added and staff was friendly and helpful.
The smell of the BBQ from the parking lot draws you in like a magnet. When you get inside, you almost feel at home. The BBQ is amazing and the staff is very friendly.BBQ in general is pretty pricey, however, what is missing in taste to me are the sides. The sides are okay.If they experimented with their sides it would really make the plate "complete."
I've enjoyed great brisket, sausage, ribs and chicken here since 2007. There's a reason they've been in business for over 28yrs. Great quality bbq, friendly staff, good portions and sides all at a fair price.
Brisket is Bill Miller Quality. Brisket sandwich was cold and salty.. Brisket tasted like they used all the salt and there was no more salt for potatoe salad.The potatoe salad is the worst I've ever had. Very bland I think there is carrots in it. Beans were thick and pasty as of they needed a little water and a good stir. Very disappointing. And embarrassing!! This is Texas!!. Never again!
Best BBQ! Atmosphere is reminiscent of my upbringing! And the staff is beyond Marriott standard accommodating! I’ll be coming back on the regular and bringing friends, coworkers, and DVs!
Overpriced and they need to expand their sides selection. Cole slaw lacked flavor and ribs had way too much pepper. BBQ sauce wasn’t thick enough and they didn’t have sweet or tangy flavor to choose from, just regular or spicy. They are really greedy with their portion sizes.
