Vietnamese eggrolls were amazing… great promise. Crab California rolls were gas station quality. The rice that came with the curries was so over cooked that it was mushy. Yellow curry broth was tasty , the green beans tasted like a caned variety. Then the bill came …15% service fee that doesn’t go to the wait staff …lol…Overall disappointing . We won’t be coming back… stay awayWait staff was very nice and kind….I feel bad for them that the 15% is added automatically and they get none of it
There's a 15% service charge added to all orders. #Alertscam #illegal charges. #willreporttoauthorities. Look at your receipt.
I used to work here, but ever since they started charging the 15% service fee the place has been really slow, so without notice they took me off the scheduled and insisted they lower my pay with out talking to me first. I then quit. With that being said, the 15% obviously is not going to employees. Also there are sooo many more sushi and Thai restaurants that are so much better and way more clean. They once had to close cause they failed health inspection, and they barley pass it now. They leave pre fry things and leave them out, they don’t have a dish washer and pay people under the table to come do the dish from time to time, they also don’t have the right sanitizing equipment, they just use dish soap and scrub. They have a health score of 84 which is a B and the try to hide it behind the register.Photos are of their score and all the fried sushi things they leave out and still try to serve.
I’d say 4 stars is a perfect rating. We got the yellow curry with chicken. And the sushi. Over all flavor was really good but the price was pretty expensive.Extremely friendly service and incredibly quick returns on orders. Our plate was piping hot fresh out of the kitchen.
I was visiting San Antonio from NYC Queens with my wife for the first time & I googled and found Lucky Thai Restaurant! I’m really glad I found this place they’re really authentic and makes good food! Tremendous food quality and everything was so fresh! My wife tried their Sushi that was great too! I’d recommend this place to go and enjoy Thai foods!
The inside has a nice fresh look to it. The food was ok. Not amazing or the best, but average Thai. ItMy friends meal was a bit heavy on what tasted like fish oil but still good.
Really good food. The best thai/asian food in san antonio. Good service, very nice people. Delicious sushi and mermaid rolls. 100% recommended. Try the sake bomb
My wife and I went to Thai Lucky Sushi Bar & Restaurant at 102 South Navarro St for dinner and noticed an extra "service charge" and "Alcohol Sales and Use Tax" on the bill. We asked the waiter about them and he said it was a fee they charge but was not part of his gratuity. We asked to speak with a manager and someone who I assume was the owner told us it was on the menu (in tiny writing at the bottom of one page) and therefore a legitimate charge and we were expected to tip on top of the amount. This seems really shady and he couldn't explain the other taxes. When we protested, be became very combative and hostile The food was so-so - I ordered my meal 3/4 spicy and it was mild - also our chicken spring rolls contained no meat There was a weird vibe from the waiter and the busboy who seemed a bit off - they didn't seem like normal restaurant workers and maybe coming from a halfway house situation where they needed to get work hours and possibly being taken advantage of. The owners probably think that most people do not examine the bill and then tip again on the total and that they also use the fees as a way to keep their food and drink sales artificially low in order to evade taxes. I have since learned that charging the 15% added taxes on alcohol is illegal and have reported this to the Texas Controller Of Public Accounts
We were ending up our visit in San Antonio, and decided to walk back to parking garage from Buckhorn Saloon. This place popped up on our search for nearby sushi. A nice half mile walk later, we found ourselves in a very friendly hip atmosphere. Our server, Nick, was the best, attentive, and friendly. The chef listened to our suggestions of sushi rolls with no rice, and came up with a spot on alternative. We recommend this place wholeheartedly and you wont be disappointed. On a fun note, my husband was looking for a Mojito all day, and they were experimenting with one that day and it was delicious. All wonderful!!!!
Have the shrimp mermaid, the es pat Thai, Thai egg roll, and nam khao. Everything was really good. Definitely recommend this place.
