Texas Road House is definitely a place to go. We usually go here for dinner on Friday nights. If you want to avoid the crowds like me, definitely go before 5 pm. If you can’t, the call ahead sitting is a must. A lot of people do not know, or utilize this feature. I usually just do my steak and green beans, but on occasions I do the steak-cabob. You can sub the rice and order you an additional side. Having 3 sides in total. Don’t forget the rolls and cinnamon butter ?.
What is this??? I ordered the forth worth 16 oz steak with a baked potato. The potato was hard/raw in the center. I kept cutting at my steak and was only getting fat and nerves and rarely any meat the meat you see in the pic is all there is in the steak. Really upset over this poor quality steak. They also robbed us a roll that we paid for. They didn't give us the butter or cheese for our loaded potatoes. I'm glad my mother's meal was okay. That would have been a horrible mother's day meal.
We frequent this TX Roadhouse on Fridays after a long work week. We always order Steaks , drinks and fried pickles. Tonight the wait time was longer than usual which put us at a table until 10pm - to begin with our bench was wet and dirty. Our fried pickles and drinks took about 30 min to arrive. Our steaks came out at 11:00 pm we ordered medium and got well done steaks. We sent them back and waited another 30 minutes for our new steaks. 1 still came out well done but by this point I just wanted to leave and asked for a to go box. Which also took long because our waitress Sam would always disappear. This place has its good moments but near closing time is not it. Even at 1 hr prior to closing you could tell the employees where mentally checked out for the night. It’s mostly young kids goofing off.
Came by a couple of weeks ago, had a few drinks and some lunch, waited a little longer than usual for my lunch. I asked the bartender where my food was and he brought it right out to me. It was well worth the wait. Thanks ??UPDATE; came back a couple of weeks later for lunch and everything was great till they forgot my broccoli which was very disappointing, I told the bartender to make sure that the manager knew about that and for that I take away one star. ?
First off a shout out to our amazing waiter Tyler!! He was so helpful with what to order and to see him take care of all his tables with respect and politeness.. good job:) The food is always good here no complaints I had the salmon which was amazing my boyfriend had the smothered chicken which was really good also. They had just opened at three, and there were not many people there. We had the early dine in special, which was plenty of food for a lower price. The bread was great. I think they could have had more servers as we were ready to leave and had to wait longer than what I felt was reasonable for our check. This is my March 20th update. I went in today for dinner. It was pretty busy. We waited about thirty minutes to be seated. The host personnel were somewhat nonchalant, like they were reluctant to answer questions. Some people came in after us who knew the hostess, and I heard her tell them they would be seated next, and they were. That is just wrong. The server was friendly and pleasant. She took our order and checked frequently to see if we needed anything. The cactus blossom appetizer was good, but the timing between the appetizer and the meal was too short. We both had ribeye steaks ordered medium well. The salads were good with fresh ingredients. The loaded baked potatoe could have been warmer as the cheese did not totally melt. The steaks were not cooked enough and were sent back twice before finally getting it right. The steak had too much fat, in my opinion, for $20. The side of buttered corn was tasty but had a small amount of macaroni mixed in with it. I feel that they were busy and perhaps rushing to get the orders done. If you are in the mood for a steak, you can try them. I, however, will not be returning any time soon. I will stick with the Saltgrass steak house. It may be expensive but worth the money.
