My wife & I were looking forward to a weekend getaway in San Antonio. I made reservations for Texas de Brazil several days before our arrival. We have eaten at this restaurant at various locations and always enjoyed the experience. Not this time. All of the reviews indicated valet parking was available. Itâs not. The reviews indicated other parking options were easy. Also not true. There is a large parking garage less then a block away but it was packed. There is also a small parking lot at the opposite end of the street. Good luck with that one. We finally found a parking spot and checked in. We were not seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time. The host (male) was very apologetic although we did not complain. As he was seating us, he said he was going to tell our waiter to give us desserts on the house. We sat at our table for 25 minutes and watched people who were seated after us get served. Finally, a waiter came to our table and took our drink order. We got our salads at the salad bar and finished them. Then we sat there for another 10-15 minutes waiting for our plates so we could receive the meat selections. Apparently, the host took notice and delivered the plates himself. The meat selections were great! No problem there. We ordered our desserts and asked the waiter if the host told him they would be on the house. He said he was never told but he would check on it. I had a birthday coupon for 20% off 2 dinners (I joined their membership app a few years ago). The only ârulesâ pertaining to the coupon was that it could not be used on holidays. As far as I know, August 6 is not a holiday. A short time later, another host (female) came to our table and told us they could not accept the coupon but she would give us 15% off anyway. Then she said she didnât know why we were supposed to get desserts on the house so she would just give us one free of charge. So, they wouldnât honor their own coupon or free dessert offers!!
Great experience they sure know how to care for their customers. Constant follow-up various times. Making sure if we needed anything. Kept it drinks full, all the fixings on the table full. Great service over all
Arrive at my reservation time, greeted by the hostess and a manager. Very nice. Mgr very friendly to me and talked to me like being my best friend !!!! The gauchos team was excellent in serving my family, never missed us one time. Our waitress was perfect, and I think the best weâve had in the years coming to Texas De Brazil (Jenny) you can count on us to return as always. Keep up the good work management team ! First time here. Service was excellent. However the food just wasnât as good as the competition. All Brazilian places are spendy so that was expected.
Staff were very nice and always checking on us. Great ambience and the food was delicious.
