Visited on 7/5/22. It is a nice thing place so I decided to dine it. The menu has little stickers all over it with $2 add one due to price increases. Brown rice was a $2 add on over white rice. Dinner entrees we’re all plus $2. It made the whole experience bad. I felt as though the restaurant was trying to nickel and dime their customers. I ended up walking out without ordering. If you are updated prices please get new menus. This would alleviate the problem greatly.
On our first visit, we asked the waiter if the fried rice has peas and carrots in it and he chuckled and said "Uh-no sir". Thats when we knew we had FINALLY found an authentic Chinese restaurant and T. Jins did not disappoint. The rice was absolutely amazing and we paired it with some Tofu in sweet chili sauce. On our second visit we shared the Shrimp and Chicken chili curry and the fried tofu in brown sauce that was fantastic. On both occasions our appetizer was the Shrimp egg roll, wrapped in the thin gyoza dough paper wrap that was a throw back to my years in the Far East. T. Jins is the place the go for some excellent eats...PERIOD.
Worst pepper steak ever. Meat was mushy and slimy. Bell peppers and onions looked like they had been cooked earlier and then reheated. Not worth the money. Threw meal in trash.
The menus listed here are outdated. The prices have increased. The Mushroom Chicken has canned or jarred mushrooms! Definitely not fresh mushrooms. The white chicken and the sauce were tasty.I asked my unmasked waitress if there is any substitutions here for rice and she seemed annoyed. Many places will give greens or extra veggies instead of rice upon request… not here.
Finally!! After the restaurant that was my favorite for decades changed ownership as well as all their recipes, I embarked on an area-wide search for a new go+to for Asian food. I found it!! The food and service at T Jin's are the best I've experienced since before covid turned the industry upside down. Already jonesing for that hot & sour soup....the best I've had.
Food was good. Some of the meat was slightly cold but the seasoning was great.
