The BBQ was the best I’ve had. All of it was so moist and tender. Wish they were in Indiana

Friendly staff fast from ordering to arriving at the table. Great taste nice proportions tasty ?

The food was ok. Stopped here once before just to pick up a sandwich. It was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I had wanted to go back because the smoked smell was just so tempting from the first time. The ribs tasted sweet. The chicken didn't really have the smoked taste I love. I've never had cheese in potato salad and don't want to again.

Consistency is key. However on this visit, it was nothing but. I came here and dined in back-to-back days - Wednesday and Thursday. Ordered the meat plate with ribs on both days. Wednesday was phenomenal. Ribs were juicy, fell off the bone and tasted amazing with the hint of maple wood flavor. They also looked like they were put in the smoker to achieve such look and taste. I was so pleased, that I came the next day - today. Taste and consistency was not the same. Not even enjoyable. Ribs looks like they were thrown on the grill and overcooked. They had a hard exterior and a tough interior and only edible when putting BBQ sauce on them. Mind you I don’t even like their sauce. It’s too tangy and thin for my taste, but the only thing available. Check the pics and see the clear differences in both plates. Intrigued by the audacity to serve inconsistent food, I asked an employee about them, to which she waved me off, because she didn’t understand English. At that point I didn’t even bother to ask another employee. To the regulars, the foot traffic on both days was also completely different. Busy Wednesday and slow on Thursday. Is there insider knowledge to avoid eating here on certain days? As for my rating, minus a star for the inconsistent food (turkey, chicken and brisket are also nothing to brag about), half a star for lack of support from the non-English speaking employee and another half star for their bbq sauce and lemonade. The latter tasting like cheap Minute Maid, when I was told it was fresh squeezed. Stick with beer. The bottle that looks like a throwback Astros jersey is ? and pairs well with the BBQ, but this place is definitely hit or miss and they struck out today.

I have special diet needs they were accommodating. Because of that I will return. People in my party rated the barbecue 3 out of 5. I enjoyed my dry chopped sandwich. The service was good.

Great food - huge portions, amazing service and well worth an Uber to get off the tourist trap path.

Out of all the BBQ places in San Antonio that I have tried (a lot) this is by far the best one! It is super flavorful meats, great sides, and not to expensive. This is now the only BBQ place that me and my husband will go to!

Was in areas and figured to try this place out. Was really impressed. quantity was incredible. food was great. not huge fan of sauce but meat really did not need it.

Smoked Turkey&Brisket were so delicious ?. Highly recommend this restaurant. Always great customer service along with good food everytime.

Came here with my husband. I'm vegan and he is not obviously. I thought I'd have a hard time finding #vegan options to eat but was pleasantly surprised! The cashier was really helpful and answered my questions about what was in each of the side dishes. Always great when waiters/nonkitchen employees actually know what's in the food! I got a side of seasoned fries, beans and a couple of dinner rolls. I would have ordered the fried okra but they sadly were out of it. I confirmed with the cashier that the beans do not have meat in them and the "vinegar coleslaw" does not have mayo in it but sadly it does have feta cheese so that was a no go. I topped the meal off with a Michelob Ultra beer and felt pretty satisfied! ? Vegans rejoice!
