I might give it another shot. I was craving some oysters. I tried to call in twice 15 minutes each to place an order, nobody picks up. So I go in in person. No staff acknowledges. It seemed 25% capacity at 8:05p.m. I take it upon myself to approach the bartender to order one dozen oysters togo. My wait time was over 20 minutes and I asked how the order is going. The bartender told me "the oysters just came in, they're freshly bring shucked". I feel that they're trying to get ready to close. I didn't feel an importance on certain orders. I might give another shot, definitely further from closing hours I guess? I recommend not going an hour before closing to order a full menu on this experience. Thank you.
Great food/fun/great drinks
We had a wonderful time and the food was good. We got the Trolley Stop it was plenty of food for 2 people, we actually had leftovers. I also got the Hurricane Flight, I enjoyed getting to try different drinks and see what I liked and didn't like. I'm only taking off a star because the table next to us accidentally dropped a glass that shattered everywhere and not a single waitress of manager came and cleaned it until about 5 minutes of waiting we got the hostess attention and she came and cleaned it. They all heard it fall but no body moved and the poor girl who dropped it couldn't move her feet cause of all the glass. Otherwise a great time.
Go hungry, big serving sizes. I had the Shrimp basket and usually at other places those aren't filling. As I write this, its been 2 hours since we've eaten and I'm still full. ?The fam (3) shared the Crab Trap boil and everyone left satisfied. Shows feeds 2 - 4 people.Will definitely return to this spot when the fam needs their Cajun boil fix.
No wait. Had a boil for 2. Food was mixed result as shrimp was over cooked, as was the corn, crab was under cooked, mussels where not completely open. Waitress was good but appeared to have no help. Fried food whether sea food or hush puppies seem to share the same fryer sharing taste and smell. Ok at best. At lunch time, place should have been busier. I may not follow up with this place. Stay tuned...
First time there. Great service, Great food, my favorite was Calamari. Nice and clean.
Order a pound of snow crab legs and I was highly disappointed. They were over cooked/ over steamed. The shell wouldn't even crack and the meat was stuck in the shell when I finally got the meat out no succulent sweet melt in your mouth crab meat more like dry, rubbery, and tasteless. The Trinity butter didn't even help. Let's not even go there on the sausage. I called and spoke to the Manager Reese he was no help. Only offered a refund if I bring the crab legs back or they can remake them for me. I spent my money so of course I was going to eat them. I should have known something was up when I got a text saying my order was ready before I even hung up the phone. The manager said they weren't busy so that's why I got my food so fast. Unfortunately if I do return I will dine in instead of taking my crab legs home or just make my own from here on out.
Had a great 1st time at Alamo Ranch Smashin Crab! Our server Pat knocked it out the park!!! He was very friendly, and very fast service, he even pulled up a chair to explain the menu to us. The King crab and headless shrimp were awesome! Can't forget the Gator bites and canjun fries too. Pat, thank you again sir, you killed it!!!
Food was delicious !! The spice level goes up quick on the various boils. Stick with 0 or 1 if your a lightweight when it comes to spicy food. Crab legs, mussels, and shrimp were all Great !!
The food was AMAZING, the person serving/checking on us was really nice, and they had paper on the table, so we could draw. Easily one of my top 3 favorite restraints! Their menu is pretty big, so if you like seafood, this is the place for you.
