Definitely won't be returning here. The restaurant itself had no air circulating. Not only was it stuffy and uncomfortable to sit down the food was just okay.Normally I don't like to complain, but after dealing with my baby being sweaty inside this restaurant? This place left a bad taste in my mouth. Everything was just less than okay. Food and environment. Meh. Won't be coming back sadly. Had to rush to eat because I felt an asthma attack coming because of how stuffy it was.

I had a great experience here. My daughter was the one who recommended it to me. I went with her. It is not buffet style. You order and they bring it to you served on a metal cafeteria tray. It is enough food. The nan seemed like it was fresh out of the oven, also with a nice crispy aspect. The mango lassie tasted fresh, from fresh mangoes. Everything was good!

Have never tasted anything so bad I had to though the whole thing in the trash just wasted $40.00 please trust me this was bad

I usually eat the buffet but I believe so to covid the buffet is not open. You can dine in or do take out. This restaurant has been here for years; as far back as the early 2000s or more and it's always consistently delicious. I don't go often because it's far from my home, but when I'm in the area I stop at this delicious Indian cuisine! The staff is always friendly too. This time I ordered the chana masala; which is a chick pea stew with rice. The rice ( basmati rice) was so good with coriander seeds; very nice aromatic flavor. I also ordered the samosas and naan bread. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I'm vegan/ vegetarian, so they had options that I could eat. The prices are also very reasonable. Give this place a try!

This place used to be very good. We decided to eat here on Christmas Day instead of Spice India. Wrong choice! Our food came in these tin trays that look like military cookware. Very unappealing and very stingy with the serving size! They made a mistake on the order and gave us an extra mixed veggie, which should have been saag paneer. Instead of just bringing the saag paneer out, the waiter takes the entire tin tray and says "we will fix this". So what were they going to do with the extra mixed veggie? Throw it away rather than give leaving it there for us. Or were they gonna scoop it back into the pot? Horrible experience. Also, one of our plates they gave us to eat on had green flakes all on it. WTH? We will never go there again!

After decades of top notch quality service, the pandemic has been devastating to this restaurant. I assume they lost their cook as the food served was obviously left overs and the spices were all wrong. Hopefully they can recover

Awesome Indian Food , so delicious so tasty so fresh and homemade. Family owned & operated and super nice joyful staff, he is always greeting you with a smile. Love the atmosphere and the people there.

Excellent food and service.

Been going since 1995. Simi’s is my favorite Indian restaurant in town, hands down. Though I am shy, the owners and their staff have always made me feel comfortable and welcome. The food is the BEST, of course! Empire dinner for (#) is what I’d recommend. No matter what you order, you cannot lose. (I always got rice; don’t know what another reviewer is talking about.)

The food is amazing. The staff are amazing. We come here as often as we can. We always leave feeling good from the great food, positive interactions with the staff, and the beautiful atmosphere. This is my favorite restaurant in San Antonio, Texas.
