We came here for my oldest son's graduation from Basic Military Training. We had a party six (6) and we were able to get in pretty quickly. The server did a great job attending to us even though the restaurant was pretty full. The food is fantastic and they have a great variety.
So the Wife and I decided to have steak. Our first choice was Texas Roahhouse, but they were not open yet. So we came to Salt grass. Let me tell you. The steaks here were so delicious. The flavor this steak was so amazing, packed full of flavor. I ordered the Bone in Riby. My Wife had Porter house steak, green beans and a loaded potato. She even had tortillas soup. Which she said she hasn't had any good tortillas in a while from a restaurant. We even order for an appetizers the ceso and brisket chips. I'm going back for sure. These guys know how to cook steak.
The service was good and friendly but my mashed potatoes were so cold and the chicken fried chicken was mostly hard thick crust very thin chicken inside . The Titos tea was delicious
The food was excellent and customer service was very impressive..First time eating there and will come back.. very much recommend!
Had our monthly girls night at this location and it was one of the best we have had. Not only was the food amazing but the service was exceptional. If you are looking for a great place to enjoy an even better meal check out this restaurant and ask for Dez, she was amazing. We will definitely be back soon!
Awesome place great food authentic Texas steak house
the staff is always exceptional every time I'm there and these days that means alot. I always get the porterhouse cause it's one of the best steaks I've ever had. Really everything is but that's my choice dish there.
March 27, 2022 - just left the restaurant after one of the best meals and experiences in San Antonio, TX. The steaks were done to perfection and the mushroom appetizers were the perfect beginning for a meal. Our server, Dez, was considerate , friendly and well versed in the menu choices. Her recommendations were spot on and her attention to detail was admirable. My wife’s large filet and my Trail Boss steak were great choices and the asparagus sides were also excellent. If I am back in the area, this will be one of the first stops.

Everthing was cooked to our liking. The chicken was very juicy, the steak was cooked just like we ordered it. Mac and cheese was superb!! My only complaint was the cheese fries... although delicious and very flavorful. It was switched from regular French fries to steak fries. I prefer the French fries.
