Delicious and healthy! Clean and awesome staff! Definitely a new favorite place!

I love Salata and was excited to have this near where I was. When I came in the late afternoon they had the coolers pulled out from the bar/glass. There was a weird, humid smell. Staff were friendly enough and they made big salads. The lettuce did have huge brown chunks I had to throw away. Probably wouldn’t eat at this location again.

The salad was tasty but I felt sick to my stomach after eating here. They were friendly and service was fast. Now that I read some of the more recent reviews it seems like they may have a food hygiene problem, between cross contamination and poor refrigeration. Be careful.

We decided to have lunch here today and turns out it was a piece of heaven

I'm surprised this location hadn't been reviewed as it's been her for some years. My friend and I were just around the corner from Salata's doing some shopping, so it was the perfect place for lunch. We arrived just at noon and although there was a line, things moved along fairly briskly--really can't complain. The folks behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. My friend ordered the small salad, I the regular and as you can see in my side-by-side photo, both are generous. They will put in as much as you want of any ingredient, and there are many (see Merredith G's photos). The proteins were extra charge ( about $3) as were the avocado and artichoke hearts ($1) but well worth the money. I won't regale you with all my ingredients but let's just say they were numerous; I did opt for the chipotle chicken and artichoke hearts. I had the spicy chipotle ranch dressing (and it was spicy--thank you!); at first, I didn't think the amount put into the bowl would coat the salad but it did--perfectly. I've noticed that some reviewers of other locations complain that Salata is pricey "just for salad." Okay, point taken--with add-ons my salad totaled $12. But the ingredients were exceptionally fresh (one counterperson saw a wilted spinach leaf she was about the place in my bowl and picked it out immediately) and if you bought the ingredients separately from your friendly neighborhood grocer, you would have spend about 50% more, to say nothing of the time spent preparing the food for the salad. When quality of ingredients is evident and I'm full--make that stuffed--I'll spend $12 for that any day. And let's face it, you'd pay that much for any decent lunch, wouldn't you? So the next time you're poking around the Park North Mall, stop in and give Salata's a try. It may cost a little more than an average salad bar but it's well worth it.

I come to this Salata almost everyday for lunch. The workers use their gloved hands to handle all of the food including meat and cheese. I have complained about this to management but nothing has been done. It's funny how they ask people if they have allergies but then cross contaminate everything in the same breath. I wish they would use the serving spoons and not their hands. Apart from that they put the to go boxes together very messy such that the food and dressing is coming out of the box.

The salad was good, this time it felt like they were rushing us through the line. Additionally I had asked for almond and she put a big scoop of walnuts. I didn't want to start over so I just had to have the walnut in the salad. What was really a downer was that the ice machine was not working and it was a hot day so luke-warm tea was not doing it.. but this was this last time the I went.. only second time here.

First time eating at salata, the food was good but that's about it. The lady helping me wasn't the friendliest, there was no atmosphere it was just dead silent with just the workers talking to other customers ordering. There also was no lights on besides in the kitchen area.

Get the small bowl, it's a lot of salad for one person. It is made fresh in front you, while you pick the different selections of fresh veggies or fruit. The salad dressings are amazing.

I went to this location a second time to try again. I went yesterday evening and the lady at the counter I asked if she was going to put more lettuce and cucumbers she stated that's all they had Why would you sale vegetables that are brown and when I asked why? she stated , they were from the day before.I was like ? wow and then I asked don't you cover the food she stated no I said that's why there's bugs flying over the food.We then left that one and went to a cleaner friendlier salatas.
