Low key and unassuming sushi joint with great selection and awesome food. This has been my go-to Japanese joint for sushi for the last 7 years! I'm glad they remained opened after all these years. Service is good, and can be busy on rush hour dining.Update: the portions keeps shrinking when ordering for delivery. I suppose this also depends on who's the chef in charge because the taste and portion is greatly affected.
We ordered the Dragon Roll (my fave sushi roll from all that we had ordered), House Roll, Rasta Roll, Rocky Hand Roll, Unagi Hand Roll (pretty good) and the Sukiyaki Udon Noodle Soup (the best)Ordered to go and was shocked to see the udon noodles mixed in with the broth in a container (normally most places separate the broth and noodles for to go orders). Surprisingly, that was our favorite meal! Forgot to take a pic of the udon because we ate that so fast! Would highly recommend that udon soup!
I ordered several things. I didn’t like the sake cafe roll. The spring rolls were okay, but not crispy. The oyster tempura was good. I wish they would include more ginger with it, the amount they out it’s so small.
We were visiting from out of town and stopped here for my birthday dinner. It was extremely busy but the service was outstanding. We set at the sushi bar and really enjoyed the conversation with the chefs as well as had some of the most amazing Sushi. Definitely 10 out of 10.
The food is great. The waiting staff are very attentive and kind.I come here about once or twice a month with a friend and sometimes new people that are always satisfied with what they order. My personal favorite is the Alkin roll or seafood soba.Highly recommend trying out!
I have eaten here several times and always try something different. Today I had grilled Salmon Teriyaki with roasted veggies, Miso soup, rice and salad on the lunch menu. It was fantastic as were all the other dishes I tried. This is my go to lunch spot!! Servers and the whole staff are fantastic ???
Love that the Sushi Bar is now open. Finally get to sit and talk to the Chefs. Sushi is always Great Here.
First time here and it was SO GOOD!! Great restaurant and our service was excellent! We will definitely be back!
This place was great, and I tend to be very picky on sushi places. We started with combo shrimp and vegetables tempura; the shrimp was so crispy and the veggies were delicious and had a nice variety. We followed that up with two rolls one that had no rice but was much wider than normal rolls, another that had lots of toppings. Both were fresh and tasty. We also share the Ahi Tuna teriyaki which was really good but was surprisingly my least favorite part of the meal. Was also very surprised that they had a happy hour on the weekend, so everything was 25% off on the check but was not expecting it.
One of the best restaurants in Stone Oak plus one of the best sushi/Japanese restaurants in San Antonio. Fish is unbelievably fresh. Big variety of sushi & other Japanese dishes. Have never had a bad bite of food here. Outstanding!
