Way too pricey and no free drink refills on the fountain drinks. Clean atmosphere and decent food, though. Won't be back.

No refills on a large iced tea after I just spent $60 for 3 cheeseburgers and a basket of chicken strips!!

Great food, good price and excellent service. I will recommend it to anyone . I ordered grilled chicken sandwich and was delicious.

The burgers here were absolutely top knotch. Only down side was the flies... Flies were everwhere inside the building.

Love it here.

I can’t believe people are calling this place overpriced! They must be spoiled rotten. NBWR cares for and fosters the natural breeding of critically endangered and extinct in the wild species! That is a HUGE deal! How many places can you have an ostrich peek in your window or a wildebeest come right up to your car? I’m sure those who arrived and were frustrated didn’t take basic animal behavior into account. Go in the morning when the animals are being fed or on a cloudy day when the heat doesn’t force them under the trees, and then eat/shop during the hot parts of the day. It’s $4.99 for a bag of food, my husband and I both got one and it lasted us two go-arounds with almost every species coming up to us. We arrived on a hot, cloudy Sunday at 10am. These animals are not in stuffed into small exhibits so people can see them at all times like they are in a zoo, they’re free to roam. You have to make an effort to work with their natural behavior if you want a good experience. It’s like complaining about the wait times for rides at Six Flags when you showed up at 2pm. It’s irresponsible for people to complain when 1) you can’t go over 5mph because animals cross the road and going faster frightens them 2) they’re accredited by multiple conservation agencies and are literally helping bring species back from the brink of extinction 3) the San Antonio Zoo is notorious for poor animal welfare so those who use it as a basis for comparison blatantly do not know what they’re talking about. I saw people letting their children smack the animals that came up to their cars, scream at them, and throw the food at their faces without reprimanding them. I have a strong inclination to believe these are the kinds of people leaving “too expensive” and “didn’t even see any animals” reviews. Tl;dr - if you want to pay a zoo price, go to a zoo. If you want something better, be responsible by planning better and expect to pay more.

Very very clean. The pizza was great and the brownie with ice cream is amazing. The staff is polite and professional. 5/5

It was a neat experience but not worth the price in our opinion deer, ostrich, and zebras was pretty much is what we saw!

Super over priced!!!!!!!! Will never return to the ranch animal looks sick and super bad condition ,took my kids and they were not even happy no animal were even out of the 65 species they clam to have we only saw 6 and the same all over the trip!

This zoo was a wonderful experience back in the day. Yesterday, during spring break on a special birthday it was less than pleasant. We drove hours to get to the zoo. The website and recorded answering machine did not mention the 2.5 hour line once we arrived. It took us an hour to get out of the line. The customers were wonderful in line and people watching was the most interesting in the four lines of cars with trapped children (kids fake driving, etc).
