I have been waiting almost 20 years for someone in SA to make a proper, real Baja style Fish Taco. These were perfect, in fact they rank among the best I've had anywhere.
After seeing this on SA Current as a top 25 restaurant in San Antonio, I decided to stop by and try it. I looked it up and it had great reviews and the food looked very appetizing. I chose one of their newest additions to the menu, which was recommended by the owner.I chose blackened salmon on my coastal plate, which was cooked to perfection with a touch of cajun. The salmon was served with citrus rice, grilled zucchini, and a cabbage salad with a unique creamy cilantro dressing, which gave the plate a perfect balance of flavors.They also have great customer service. They made sure I was satisfied with my plate. I will be back to try some more!
We were so happy to FINALLY find real baja style fish tacos in San Antonio! Crunchy but not greasy, flaky fish tacos were DELICIOUS. And the beans were outstanding-peppery and flavorful. The roasted salsa is delicious. Prices are reasonable, we definitely did not leave hungry! The only critique is I personally like double tortillas when I taco, especially when the corn tortillas are THIS good. We will DEFINITELY return! Thank you! Fantastic catering experience! We stumbled upon this place and were impressed with the quality and taste of food. We had our son’s master’s degree celebration catered by them and the owner and his son were responsive, friendly, and courteous. Our guests loved the food. We’ll be back again and again!
Saw this restaurant on Facebook and had to give it a try. My husband is from Cali and loved the Cali burrito! I had been craving a birria taco and it did not disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was very clean and organized. The menu was extremely helpful and easy to read. Definitely coming back to try more!!

This place…I can’t easily describe the place - it looks like a fast food but IT’S NOT. The place was clean and menu was well detailed and some have pictures available. They have outside and indoor sitting.Place run by a couple who were doing the kitchen and cashier work. It will not be easy for them especially for a packed days so please be patient when you go here. It’s not slow but it’s not as fast for the service.Let’s get into the good stuff - FOOD - we were not expecting the flavor from the food they have from dip to the meat. It is well priced. We had a Shrimp Fajita and it was so good. We also had they burrito which so soft from meat to the tortilla. They have different type of dip that I have never had before and it was so good and give you that kick.This place is one of our saved places to go back to!
Omg we are so happy we found Sabores Cali Baja Mexican Grill!! True my a taste of Southern California Mexican food right here in San Antonio. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The fish taco and shrimp tacos are to die for. Will definitely be coming back!
I was craving authentic Mexican food and I decided to try Sabores Cali-Baja Mexican Grill. It’s by far the best Baja Style Mexican food I’ve tried in San Antonio. I’m from CA and it’s like a piece of home away from home for me. First I tried the Enchiladas Rojas de Pollo and a Baja Shrimp Taco. My girlfriend ordered a Sabores Shrimp Taco & Baja Shrimp Taco. The food was exceptional and the service was superior, not to mention that it’s really clean and all the food is freshly made. It was so good that we went back the next day. I ordered the Ceviche and she ordered the Asada Nachos. We then shared a Guavalla Cheesecake! You have to give them a try!
