The bowls are really good, but the service is abysmal. Multiple times I’ve ordered ahead, arrive and have to wait another 20+ minutes while people who come after me get their bowls made quicker. Good bowls, just don’t know how to run a business with good service.
hit or miss place tbhthe first couple of acai bowls ive gotten were amazing, but recently they've been really sour and odd tasting. also the bowls are always really watered down & the wait is long for no reason (30mins-1hr)
Favorite place to get my açaí bowl in all of San Antonio by far. The staff is super friendly, and so are the owners. You can tell how much love and hard work goes into creating the bowls. 5 stars, will repeatedly come back!
Lacks Cstomer Service Etiquette. Wait time is Horrendous. Poor Hygienic/Unsanitary Practices.Ordered an AB Bowl. Took 40 minutes to arrive. No apologies for the wait or for my bowl having a smoothie constancy. I get halfway done when I find a piece of hair in my bowl (disgusting). Would of asked to speak to Management but while waiting there I noticed there was only very young girls working. Mind you, people have to get back to work. I couldn't wait another 40 minutes to speak to Management. Before leaving, I noticed people handling food are not wearing gloves or wearing head nets. I should of known by just looking at the dirty floor or front door. I didn't mind the price for the bowl, but when combining all the factors I mentioned, I will DEFINITELY NOT be coming back. I'd rather stick to MY JUICE LIFE downtown they provide Better Service, Better Price at 1/2 the time!
When coming here, plan to be disappointed on the food turnaround, expect watery acai, and check your bowls before you leave.Firstly, they often leave out toppings even though they charge me extra. Also, made an order online over an hour and a half before I got my order even though it was supposed to be ready at the end of the hour. People who ordered at the counter got their bowl by 20 minutes. They advertise ordering online as “Skipping the Wait,” yet it seems we were instead waitlisted. Food is good, but cannot make up for abysmal business conduct. The time between making the acai and the toppings is so long that the bowl becomes watery and the quality is compromised.
Kimberly is hard working mom and amazing person who puts her heart and soul into this business and her employees. I got work with her by designing a logo for some apparel for Rise Up! She is so sweet and professional and was easy to communicate with. I would definitely work with her again! Plus their food is AMAZING. Keep up the great work!!!!
I had never had an açaí bowl before and this was certainly the place to start. The cashier recommended something and whatever I had was soooo delicious. It felt decadent, but healthy with a lot of great texture and flavor. I met the owners, who were super sweet. Overall, a great experience and I have a favorite new snack spot! It was nice to support local small business and I hope this place keepings expanding.
Takes FOREVER. Even for a To Go order. I was in there for 30 min and they had more than enough employees and the place was only half full. Only 3 people walked in for online orders so I don’t think they were slammed from that end. Bowls were fantastic but there’s no point in ordering to go.
This is my favourite place to eat in town. The AB bowl, I think is the most popular, and my absolute fave too. I definitely recommend it but if you can, take it to go. Not so long ago, I went to order and it was quite eventful compared to the usual calm and friendly setting. A man who I suspect is either the manager or a very entitled employee, started lashing out and screaming at one of the pretty girls. The situation escalated and the girl went to the bathroom in tears. He even threw a dirty utensil some kind at the wall, which I found revolting. I have hygiene related OCD and I slightly lost my appetite thinking what else might have touched the interior in the kitchen, when I am unable to see my meal being prepared. This man also looked slightly unhygienic like he hadn't washed his hair. Other people in the room tried to stop him and talked to him, including me. He did not seem to be genuinely taking responsibility for his actions and I felt lowkey uneasy/awkward that day. Usually the service is so nice especially when there aren't too many customers at the same time. I feel really bad for the girl though :(
The acai bowls are delicious but what really sets me off is the poor management, I overheard the general manager say foul things to one of their own employees! You can tell he doesn't even appreciate his own workers, and it's absolutely shameful for all the hard work these girls do!
