I used to come here a lot with my family but haven't been by in a few years. We got dinner here yesterday and I was a little surprised at the menu. It seemed to be different than when we'd come before. My family isn't vegan but I am. I really like this place because they have vegan pho and they used to have soy milk where you could get boba drinks and teas made with it instead of dairy milk! Unfortunately we were told now that they were out of basically every tea and boba flavor they used to have. Also they only had milk and couldn't make me anything with soy milk. I did end up getting the tofu and vegetables vermicelli noodles and it was delicious!!I would like to see some vegan appetizers like some spring rolls without meat or fried tofu with sauce. Also please bring back the nondairy milk!
They should rename this place to Really Great Pho! This is literally the best pho we ever had! The broth is delicious and the ingredients are very good quality. I can't get enough of it! You have two regulars now!
It was pretty disgusting, my meat had a green tint to it, the summer rolls had this weird beef jerky meat in it. The server gave us menus and utensils and our food that was it. There are no drinks except tap water and smoothies. The food inspection rating was nowhere to be found either. My boyfriend felt nauseous after the steak and brisket pho. I got the combination pho. In the pictures below there is a mystery ingredient(the tentacle thing) I asked the server what it was and he didnt know and didnt ask the cook either. Overall a pretty terrible place to go at potranco. We spent $31 for all of this
I was not impressed. We decided to try this place because the menu said orange chicken but it's only available during lunch. The menus they gave us were take out menus with all the prices blacked out with a sharpie. I ordered chicken pho - it was literally chicken breast with no flavor torn into strips. The broth had a decent flavor. The kids order sweet and sour chicken they each got about five pieces with a small serving of white rice. My husband loves pho and he wasn't impressed either. For the price the food was not up to par neither was the portions.
Both broths had strong but not deep flavor. The place is super clean and the guy that waited on was great. It will be an ok back up but not someplace we go to a lot.
New Owners, terrible experience now. We have been here off and on many times over the past 4 years. The old family who opened it was trying to sell it for quite a while to be near her family and I guess they finally did. Boy does the sale show. The place was never a super good Pho joint but it was always enjoyable. Now it’s straight trash. Visited on a Sunday just after 12 noon and it was almost empty so I should have known to just turn around and go. The Pho base has changed to more of a white bone broth with an off odor. Forget about any seafood, turnover is too low and they are serving old product that has or has nearly turned and tastes awful. Prices are straight up just marked off on the menu so you have zero idea of prices. No fountain drinks. Super scrimp portions on the vegetables for the Pho. No Thai basil for the Pho. Just a supremely poor experience. This place is officially of the go to list forever. Judging by the recent reviews I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Beef pho was good, I felt like they were a little selfish with the amount of beef/brisket they put in but other that that this is your normal pho broth and it’s pretty good! Would come again if In the area!
I’ve come here before and the Pho is usually really good. Right now, I’ve been sitting here for over an hour after I ordered fried rice. The server hasn’t checked on us even once. I’d normally be upset, but right now I’m just impressed that we could sit here for so long and be completely ignored. There were only two other parties dining in at the time. This is definitely a unique dining experience!UPDATE: The cashier came up and asked us if we had received our food yet. That was about five minutes ago. (I think they don’t even know what we ordered.)UPDATE: They found our food and it arrived sans napkins or heat. The Vermicelli with beef should have been renamed Vermicelli with jerky. At least my fried rice was reheated in a microwave.I’ve come here maybe once every two to three months in the last few years and, without fail, the food was somewhere between “ok” and “almost great.” However, after today, I’ll never come back here. There are much better places that are better run. Heck, even the menu here has all the prices blacked out! I have NO CLUE what the bill is gonna be for our cold noodles and microwaved rice!
I went here just trying to find something that may be a little different from the norm. The presentation was great. The pho was ok.. I don't remember the name but my fiancée had the one with chicken broth base and it was pretty good. I am not saying the food was but bad it was just not too much different from you your standard pho restaurant. I will go back and try something different so I can compare my experience and let's see if I feel different the second time around..
Had the summer rolls, a chicken dish, beef dish and a kid's plate and it was all good. The bubble tea was decent and the food was all fresh. Would definitely recommend and come here again. They got my picky 3 yr old to eat!
