This was my first time here. We went on a Saturday around 12pm and there was no wait. The service was great. We ordered two whole chickens and fajitas. The rice was a bit soggy for my liking but the flavor was spot on. We will come again!
1st time there, food was really good. Child order cheeseburger, came with potato chips, she liked it. Stuff friendly, plenty of parking space, allot of traffic through the drive thru.
Heres another favorite that we highly recommend. We got a whole chicken with 1/2 lb asada, beans, rice, tortillas. Lots of food, enough for some leftovers. Always busy, popular place. Wait time is never to long. We have done both dine in and drive thru.There are 2 locations that I know of. I believe I saw another one sonewhere while heading to the Witte. Note that not all locations are the same quality
This place is awesome!! Our family of four visited on a weekday in April for lunch. You can smell the spices as you walk up. We were immediately seated and we ordered. Everyone loved their food! We got the chicken and a burger. They run a tight ship at this place. Service was great and you can tell they are used to being busy.
We love finding the hidden gems. As one review stated, this is a hidden gem! They are obviously famous for their chicken and now I know why. We went there last night and only waited about 20 minutes before being seated. We already knew what we wanted so both myself and my wife ordered 1/2 a chicken, guacamole, and charro beans (those were our adds). Every bite was met with an authentic Mexican flavor. Even the guacamole, without the usual Tex-Mex ingredients was incredible. They were all VERY friendly and extremely efficient serving the tables yet keeping them turned over for the next customer. On a side note, the servings are big and 1 charro bean order will easily feed two. This is an inexpensive, low budget location with incredible food. If I were asked to name 1 thing they could do better, I’d say NOTHING! It’s perfect the way it is! It’s apparent by the number of locals, this isn’t a hidden gem for them but a well-known local eats. Now, go experience this gem for yourself!!
I was in San Antonio for business and saw this restaurant listed on TA and decided to give it a try. It’s authentic! All the staff were nice and extremely accommodating. Much appreciated. The service was very fast. I ordered the steak fajitas with beans and rice. Huge portions and delicious! The fajitas for one but I could have made two complete meals out of it. But I do have to say I wish I had ordered the chicken, also. I saw others eating it and wow! Wish I could have had time to go back there the next day and order the chicken. Best Mexican food I had the entire trip, or possibly, ever. I went to Mi Terra also on this trip, maybe because that has been my “go to” place. Absolutely no comparison! If I go back there it will be for the bakery items and not the menu food items.
I am in LOVE with the food! I was visiting from Cleveland and asked about authentic Tex-Mex and was directed to this restaurant. I was not disappointed! Everything was so delicious and fresh. Fast service. And that green sauce!!!!This was genuinely one of the best things that I’ve ever eaten. We had the sirloin, the chicken, some sausages. The charro beans were great and Omg that fresh guac!This was my first time in San Antonio and even if it’s just to come back and eat? It will absolutely not be my last!Please brave the winter weather and open a location up North! Everyone here would go crazy for this food!!!Ten stars!
Traveled to San Antonio for my uncle's services and stopped by for lunch as soon as we landed. It's the real deal!!! Outstanding, delicious food. Fantastic service. Humogus portions. Left fully satisfied and my lips smacking. I will definitely eat there again the next time I'm in San Antonio.
Drove further just to try their margaritas and did not disappoint! All kinds of flavors. Service and staff were just as amazing! 10/10 will come again.
Excellent real authentic Mexican food. The grill chickens were unbelievable. The fajitas great to handmade tortillas the green sauce was to die for. All of it together made for an excellent meal and we will definitely return. I'm interested to see what the bean cheeseburger is all about. The service is nice and other than a short wait to get in this was an excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Definitely worth the wait.
