It’s a great dining experience. The ambiance is very inviting and cozy. Amazing healthy, food and service. Hostess, servers, managers, kitchen staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. The menu is fully gluten free with the exception of one item. The staff truly care about your experience. The food is amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. We will be returning to Pharm Table when we visit San Antonio. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: The menu has several vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Many kids dining with their families.Parking: Paid parking lot. Also space along the street to park.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access in a wheelchair. Tight seating, but I am certain the staff will accommodate any diner.Dietary restrictions: Totally gluten free menu. Many dairy free, vegan, and vegetarian options.
Honestly this was one of the freshest meals I've had during my little mini get-away out here in San Antonio. The location has an elegant vibe with a great staff. I sat at the bar and the lovely bartender took very good care of me. I'll definitely bring my little brother here as he is a vegan and many of the options on there lunch menu are vegan friendly.
Eclectic interesting food (think sweet potato waffles) with a good atmosphere and a reasonable price point. Service was good, as was decor. Dishes cost around $16. The waffles were excellent, the cerviche had a nice flavor, but the portion didn't justify the price. 4.5/5.
Celebrity chef Elizabeth Johnson brings her “food is medicine” philosophy to life in this apothecary kitchen restaurant concept. Health is wealth and Pharm Table is rich in organic local gluten-free culinary offerings that prove as visually stunning as they are delicious. They’re “reinventing health food” and we’re here for it!
There was some sort of kitchen backup going on when we visited, so despite arriving at noon for our reservation and ordering shortly after (the waitress disappeared for a while and then apologized for forgetting to take our order), we didn't receive our food until well after 1pm. I'm sure our order was handled in the correct sequence, but it's hard to recommend an hour+ wait for two tacos. Other tables appeared pretty restless as well! Our waitress then apologized for the delay and even said that she would comp something on our order (we didn't ask)...but then she forgot to do that.Aside from the service delays, the food was of solid quality. My lemon cold brew coffee was probably the most interesting coffee I've had, and the mushrooms on the farm to table tacos are the best part -- nice burst of flavor in those.
I had dinner twice here in a few days and it was thoroughly enjoyable! The food is fresh and the atmosphere is welcoming. Although I'm not a vegan, I very much enjoyed 2 vegan meals. Additional proteins are available. The avocado mousse is delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you want to get away from the touristy river walk restaurants..
If you want a culinary experience that speaks to your entire soul, look no further. A party of three, there for an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon was impressed with every aspect of this place. So much so, we made reservations before leaving to secure brunch for the next day! The music, the servers, the owner, the ambience, and the FOOD all should be given an A+. No matter your food preferences, you will find something more than delicious on the menu. I was just visiting San Antonio- but understand this...EVERY time I am in town moving forward there will be a reservation on the books with my name on it!
Absolutely loved my experience at Pharm Table! Our hostess and waitress were friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our waitress gave us great suggestions of what to try! And everything she suggested was delicious! The sweet potato waffles, hummus and probiotic plate were all AMAZING!! Very flavorful and satisfying portions. For dessert we tried the avocado chocolate mousse which was also very delicious!! We will definitely be back!
This food was delicious and filling. Even my bear fighting, heavy weight lifting, Harley Davidson riding big bearded steak eating biker husband was filled and satisfied, (he thought it would just be “rabbit food”). We started with the ceviche and guacamole, as well as a ginger spoon to “kickstart digestion” (actually tasty). Pictures are the beet salad with beef, short ribs, and we all has the broccoli soup with cashews. They even have blankets to use and validate parking (free for first 90 minutes).
This restaurant is so unethical it’s almost unbelievable, except there are plenty of honest reviews from people who had an unpleasant experience. Ours was disappointing, but actually not surprising given the pretentious vibe. We were given a $100 gift certificate in December 2020, but we moved out of state a few a months later. When we were back for a visit, we thought it would be nice to use our gift certificate for dinner. It turns out they switched payment systems sometime in the last 1 year and 2 months, and they’ve decided to pocket all the $ they made off gift certificates whether or not they were used. Supposedly they can’t verify if they’ve been used or not. Weird! Or not. I suppose a backup from their previous system (square) is too much for them to manage. Not sure if this is due to laziness, incompetence or greed. Certainly it’s much more convenient not to have to provide anything and just keep the $.
