We stopped here for breakfast tacos before driving back home. Parking is $3-5 (depends on the day)in the lot behind the restaurant and you can pay on your phone. The tacos were big and delicious. We probably ate too many because they were so good. Nobody wanted to stop for lunch because breakfast had lasted! The green salsa on the table is tasty and has some kick to it! The tacos are super affordable (less than $2 each) and for a family of 3 we spent only a little more than we would for fast food breakfast for waaaay better food.

We parked behind the building. It’s self pay and $3.00. We left our car there for several hours after we ate while we walked to the Alamo and Riverwalk. I ordered the pancake plate with scrambled eggs, bacon and hash brown cubes. It was a huge serving, which I could not possibly finish. My husband had the fajita eggs. As son as we were seated, a bowl of chips and salsa was delivered, then our food came quickly. It was exceptionally good. The service was outstanding. It was interesting to people watch because there was a mix of business people having a meeting, Moms with kids and construction workers. I certainly wish we lived close enough to go back!

We came to Pete's for lunch and tried a variety of their tacos. They make their own tortillas, and they were warm, fluffy, and delicious. I had the beef fajita and the picadillo. I was surprised that they came with meat only - no lettuce, tomato, onion, pico de gallo. The meat was good, but having a fresh element or some veggies would have made them even better. My husband had the barbacoa taco that was also meat only and a breakfast taco with scrambled egg and bacon. The breakfast taco was delicious. Next time, I'd stick with those as that seems to be a specialty here. I also had one of their margaritas, and it was excellent, would definitely get one of those again. The place is small and unassuming with a long history. Nice that they give you complimentary chips and salsa. We had to pay for metered parking on the street - I think we only paid thirty cents, so you may want to bring some change with you if you go. There's also a large parking lot where you can pay to park for a few bucks. Service was good and friendly. Hours are limited; not open for dinner on the days we were there. Would definitely come back for breakfast in the future. Prices were super affordable, a nice break from the more expensive spots on the river.

Update review: this is the breakfast taco stop! It’s a SA staple and always bring visiting friends here! The tacos are big and absolutely delicious. Above all, the staff is really sweet, approachable and attentive. The entire experience is amazing here! Ask for Erik when you go!!!Breakfast tacos are incredible! I usually eat a lot and didn’t think 3 tacos would fill me up but they are super big for a cheap price! Super happy with this place!

The food was delicious and served nice and hot. Our waitstaff was very friendly and courteous. Definitely going back!Lots of empty business spaces in area, hoping to see them filled up with little shops and stores. Could be a great place to walk around.FYI: Parking is in the back and cost $3.

Excellent Mexican food with a large menu and daily specials. Low-key setting added to the experience for us. Service was quick and delicious. We had the Pete's Special and some carne asada and chorizo street tacos. Rice and beans very tasty as was the salsa. Service was quick and very pleasant. Pay parking but it's inexpensive if you can park on the street. Meter charges 30 cents per hour so you will need coins. Our server made change for us. I would plan to return.

Okay everyone was right- the Fideo Loco is really tasty and hits the spot! I got a barbacoa taco on the side and it was so giant it was enough to make a second taco. Very good and low key!

Pete’s was on my list of places to check out and totally worth it. The takos are huge and you have so many options. Being a southerner I had to do the country gravy and ?. Horchata was also fantastic. Def recommend to anyone! And the staff is amazing!

Got a chorizo and egg on flour tortilla And 2 Al pastor on corn tortillas They were best I’ve had in prolly ever. Four tortillas are absolutely amazing. Homemade. You must eat here.

Another place in SA that we stumbled on and so glad we did. We went for breakfast and were not disappointed. I ordered the Chilaquiles and my husband ordered the Migas plate. Both were so good!! The beans were creamy and delicious and the tortillas so warm and fluffy. Our plates were pretty clean when we finished!! The service was also great!! We highly recommend!!
