Love the food! First time I tried it I was honestly impressed because it’s a bar and usually bar food isn’t that great but it’s the Best teriyaki I’ve ever had. I Highly recommend trying it.
OMG, I thought that was going to be typical bar food. WRONG, it was amazing. I had the Pacific Rim salad with chicken and brown rice. It reminded me of a wilted salad (hot bacon dressing) except this one had ginger and an Asian flair. It was spicy but ohhh so good. Everyone else at my table enjoyed there food as well. Sorry I didn't take a pic.
Food was horrible. At first glance the menu looks amazing, lots of variety and interesting options. My son ordered the teriyaki sandwich with chicken. The waitresses brought it out with beef instead. Honestly this would have been fine with us except the beef was tough and leathery. So we asked her to redo the order with chicken and she was polite enough to do so. Then mine and my wife's food arrived and was extremely underwhelming. The steak was again, dry, tough and bland. Chicken was dry as well. Even the chicken in my wife's ramen was completely overcooked and dry. Once my sons redo sandwich came out I knew it was going to be bad and it was. The rice and omelet was very good and so was the noodles and the broth. When we brought the issue to the managers attention she was unapologetic and standoffish but still took my sons sandwich off the ticket like we asked. We wont be back.
Great service, happy staff, fantastic drinks, relaxing environment. Enjoyed our time there. Definitely will return. I highly recommend! Even if its just for a drink! Food was lovely! Its a pretty little place inside.
Probably some of the worst seafood I’ve ever had. The crab cakes should be named “onion cakes” as they are made of copious amounts of both scallion, and sliced onion, yet contain no crab. The salmon was dry, flavorless, and overcooked. Premium prices for mediocre quality. The good reviews are probably due to customers being too drunk to realize how low quality the food is. Smart business model.
Ive had the chili here and its the best chili besides my own of course. Tonight i had the Samuri bowl and it was really really good. My friend Matt had coconut shrimp it looked delicious as well. Service was awesome as well.
Do you like chili? I know it sounds strange to go to an Asian restaurant for chili but they by far have the best chili in the world, hands down. That's it, no more to say but try it.
Such a great long standing restaurant! Food is always amazing and their sandwiches! Holy cow, so good! Huge wine selection but gotta ask about it.
Management lacks in leadership skills which is evident though the service received.Business skills are lacking as well… food quality is poor and the atmosphere is dated. It could be a great place but management would first need to get some business coaching and get in touch with their purpose.
We were so anxious to try this place bc of the reviews but we give it 0 stars…we walked in & ordered to go. We ordered 3 plates with no modifications, it took 45 mins & was $50 (for $16 a plate we were expecting a great tasting full meal). A family came in 20 mins after we did & got their appetizers before we got our food. We got honey walnut shrimp, DO NOT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS, it’s horrible. The shrimp has so much batter on it like extra EXTRA batter & it’s spicy, nothing what honey walnut shrimp should taste like at all. It came with steamed rice & salad. A salad lol, I guess, but that wasn’t the issue…it was the disappointment of the taste, the price & the long wait. The portion size wasn’t small or large just regular. We ended up throwing our food away, such a disappointment. If I go to the hole in the wall & order a huge plate of food I pay $11/12 a plate & its delish & takes 15/20 mins on a busy night. Don’t waste your money here go to the hole in the wall that you love…
