Great ambiance, food portion was good and adequate but one thing we missed was the lava cake they used to carry but discontinued due to some reasons during pandemic

I have only been to this location twice, however, both times the experience was exceptional. I was slightly disappointed to find that the lobster dumplings were no longer on the menu. Waiter stated they are seasonal. So, I ordered the shrimp dumplings instead. We also ordered the shrimp tempura roll and orange chicken. Everything tasted so fresh and was absolutely delicious. The waiter was very busy but still managed to be attentive quick. He was also professional and polite. We were also impressed that even though they were crowded, our wait to be seated was only 10 minutes.
Went here for dinner two weekends in a row since I liked the first takeout experience at the one at la cantera. The dine in experience was ok. Waiter the first time was fine. We got the same waiter the second time and he made a joke about my brothers request for a soda refill that was either just a poor joke or a passive aggressive crack about my brothers weight. Upon my brothers request, he said “drink water, sir, drink water.” The food the first dine in was not as good as my first takeout experience, but it was pretty good. The food the second weekend I dined there was worse. It wasn’t terrible but wasn’t especially good. The veggie lettuce wraps, which was a huge hit for me in my first takeout experience, was ok the first dine in, and was not good the second dine in. Photos are from first dine in experience.

Worst Ma Po Tofu on Earth! YUK!!! Described as “Crispy silken tofu, spicy red chili sauce, steamed broccoli”. What I received was fried tofu in a sugary and tasteless sauce, with severely overcooked broccoli. Hard to imagine how a simple dish could go so wrong. Never again
My visit was last month but I've been meaning to get to this review. Since covid I have experienced bad service every time I go out to eat. It's pretty discouraging. However I was very pleased with my waiter on the evening of Feb 17th. We had a large party of eight. I wish I remembered his name. Good food and good service on my daughter's birthday! Thank you!
