Came in and there wasn't a long wait. Had the night without the kiddo so I wanted a nice dinner with my wife. Service started good until we wanted our check. I had to take the computer to the front to pay. Ordered calamari for the first time here. Beware without a doubt they get it frozen. Calamari should not be chewy or rubbery. We sent it back. It was not taken off our check. Also please do not sit couples eating by themselves next to noisy children. I got a baby sitter so I could enjoy time away from the kid. Not hear other people's. I would have waited to be seated longer had I known the vicinity to noisy kids at the next table. Very disappointed olive garden. I don't have these problems at your other locations.
Our waiter was wonderful. Very attentive, as it should be. The food plentiful and delicious.BUT...the young hostesses face was like stone. She looked at me like I shouldn't be there. She didn't greet us, didn't smile, just stared at me. I was incomparable. We noticed that a manager was talking to her while we were leaving. I always say, if you don't like your job, move on.
We ordered to go and picked it up in the to go designated parking right in front of the place. From the time I ordered at home to the time the order was picked up was 30 minutes. They clearly have the to go part down pat. It is extremely efficient. This was the second time we ordered to go and everything was perfect and correct. The person that brought out the order was smiling and friendly the whole time and very pleasant. I give 5 stars and we will definitely order from here again.
I visited here on a Sunday with my bridal party. We were out dress shopping for the big day and decided to have late lunch here. This was the only location that didn't have "Join the Waitlist" option online. So I called and they were able to add me to the waitlist via phone. When I arrived the hostess stated I was the next big party in line and they just needed to clear the table. It took about 20 more minutes. Finally we were able to be seated and order. Afterwards we were unable to split the tab at the machine on table , so server went back and forth, and back and forth until he checked us all out. That took forever. Then after one of our parties reviewed their receipt they were double charged for an order. Manager had to be called to correct , they gave the option of a $10 Gift Card, which we kindly declined. A refund was requested. They had to cancel the whole order and redo the ticket and charge them again. This caused 2 charges to be authorized on her card. Bad part was the printer apparently ran out of paper and the manager was unable to print a cancelation receipt. No apology for the mistake and time we wasted waiting for the whole situation to be corrected. We should have still gotten the $10 gift card for all the trouble. Anyways we had chicken Alfredo, the new shrimp mitzo and Italian margaritas. All which was very delish.
Server was practically non existent. I've avoided olive garden since the pandemic bc it was always busy after things opened back up. We went to celebrate our anniversary . The wait wasn't bad but the food definitely went down hill. I ordered what I normally do, the salad and chicken and shrimp carbonara. The chicken was mushy which was unsettling and the salad was dry. Used to be my favorite restaurant but I'm over it. $100 for a meal we had to force down.
Its a chain. Go in expecting that. And its popular so go right after they open or later after lunch. Maybe you will get in faster. I have to say, throughout the years, they are consistent. A good meal for a goodish price. All you can eat soup or fresh salad and bread sticks...then your meal. And their tea is so good I actually had 5 or 6 glasses. Savanna was on excellent wait person. Attentive and charming! Does the food taste like I'm eating in Italy? No. But its a lot less expensive than the airfair.
This place is fair. The hostesses are kind of their lights are on but there’s no one home if you know what I mean. The servers are excellent very attentive knowledgeable and just make you feel welcomed. I have only had pleasant visits. Thank y’all at the Olive Garden.
As many times as me and my family have been to Olive Garden we have never had as many issues as we had on my latest visit to the location on 410 and Ingram. It started with our order brought out to us, two of the orders were totally wrong. Wrong chicken, wrong noodles. It turns out the waitress was new and probably nervous about making a mistake on our order. After getting that straight, and eating the other chicken that we didn't order, I was full and a bit disappointed with the situation. My desire for my chicken Parmigiano was slightly ruined. The big topper of the night was when our nervous waitress dropped an entire glass of water all over my original wrong dish as well as half the table. This poor girl was not having a good night. She did however apologize and tried her best to recover from the disaster she created. I think I will stay with the Olive Garden we usually go to even though it is in San Marcos. The food was still good, they just need to work more with their new staff.
Worst experience happen on 01/24 , we had went to have a birthday dinner for my husband after they had sat us down , I noticed I have gave the wrong number for people having dinner went to talk to the lady’s working on the sitting , told her was there any way she can sit us somewhere else other then the bar area since we had 4 extra people joining us ( while I was talking the manger rudely interrupted me talking to the young lady in front ad said Oh No there will be 1:30 minutes wait I’m having a party of 15 coming in ) I said it’s ok will make it work where they sat us down at he then rolled his eyes being all dramatic making a big deal about it went to the table to talk to my mother-in-law where we then again told him we will make it work there he said that’s fine , once our other family had joined us , he then told our family that he already told us that they weren’t going to fit at the table , once they had sat them down he was mad looking our way the entire time , once that people next to us we’re done eating our waitress kindly moved it over so we could fit better since they were no longer taking people sitting at the bar , he was really mad about the situation telling the girls at the bar that why does she do that making a big deal , We just really appreciate our waitress she was really helpful with the situation and wasn’t letting it get to her , we were just really disappointed with the fact the manger was really rude & wasn’t professional about the situation .
Good taste and excellent service .Piece of advice : book ur table in advance to avoid long wait.
