Poor customer service. We were visiting San Antonio and stopped in to have lunch. We were told to sit at a table and someone would come by to take our order. We waited 15 minutes and no one came by. Multiple employees made eye contact with us and when trying to get their attention, we were ignored. They were busy but there is no excuse to at least acknowledge us and let us know they they will be right with us.Unfortunately, this place looks really busy and people will keep shopping here even with this poor customer service. I am big on supporting small businesses and staying away from big chains. Experiences like this don’t help the small business push to “shop local”. I am willing to bet that they won’t respond to this. If they do, they will gain my business in the future. If no response, hopefully people will read this and realize that customers aren’t their top priority.
They make some of the best pastries in town and always get the birthday cakes from here. There strawberry cakes is one of the best with whipping cream. There sugar cookies are great, all the sandwiches are also great. ?❤️
Ordered a tres leches cake, paid $48 this is NOT tres leches cake it is literally white cake. The bottom part with the milk tasted disgusting. Also, wanted feliz cumpleaños and they wrote “felize” Like what? Don’t understand the 4+ stars with this place this was embarrassing for me to show up and everyone was expecting a tres leches cake including the persons who’s birthday it was. What a disappointment. Do not recommend this place I wish I could give no stars.
My usual cake lady was not available for the weekend I needed a cake so I went into Nadler's 4 days prior to needing the cake.The person who helped me place the order was very friendly and helpful.I arrived Saturday afternoon to pick up my order and it was not what I ordered.The Boston Cream Cake has a white web frosting on top and I specifically asked for that to be removed (even payed extra for them not to put it on there because to them that is considered custom). I asked for a ribbon with happy birthday written on it, that wasn't even on it.I requested for it to be ready by noon because we had a reservation to be somewhere by 12:30. I didn't end up leaving Nadler's until 12:45.The lady helping said she would give me a $5 credit.They ended wiping off the web pattern on the cake and adding more chocolate on top, added the ribbon and we were good to check out.I purchased a few more cup cakes thinking I was getting the credit. She gives me the total and I asked if that included the $5 credit. She said "no, we fixed the cake".First off, I paid extra for a "custom cake" that wasn't done like I requested. It should have been ready by noon and you can't even honor the $5 credit you told me you would.
Beautiful custom retirement cake and excellent customer service. The cake was delicious and decorated elegantly. We will be back again for future orders.
I have used Nadler’s exclusively for any special event. My bridal shower, my parents anniversary, and most recently my daughter’s baptism. The cakes not only look beautiful, they taste AMAZING. The owners are incredibly kind people. When you visit Nadler’s you will always feel welcome. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone who wants beautiful, tasty desserts.
I got a wedding cake done here. Pam was fantastic! She made the cake ordering process so easy and she did an amazing job with the flower arrangement on the cake, I provided the silk flowers and let her work her magic. Thank you guys for making my wedding day so special!
Very welcoming staff, patient while you're trying to decide amongst all the options. Bakery items are delicious. The three pics show only 1/2 of the options as people were in front of the other cases. Sandwiches are also really good.
We bought a pineapple upside down cake on Saturday. The cake looked beautiful. The store was beautiful. But the cake tasted old. Like it had been sitting out for a very long time. It was depressing taking that first bite expecting it to be moist and good
My family and I ate at this bakery during the holidays, and I definitely will be coming back. We ate pastries, fudge, eclairs, several cookies, and gingerbread. Everything was so tasty! We also bought a boston cream pie to go, and that turned out to be very delicious. The cake was super moist and very flavorful. They have excellent service too!
