Ordered online for Pick up.. Got the 2 piece fried Chicken.. paid upgrade to white chicken.. got 2 small wings .. my other order was catfish and it was good but mashed potatoes were very dry.. $12 for two wing. I called to try and get this corrected and got a Super long Story about how it was mine and The Service they use for online orders Fault that I got ripped off. Avoid this place at all cost.
Listen…..This is the best restaurant San Antonio has to offer hands down. Literally everything on the menu is delicious. The customer service is impeccable. We came down for work and my crew and I ate Mr. C’s every night! The manager Jennifer is my new best friend. She treated us so well. Do yourself a favor and order the baked chicken and tell ‘em Benny sent cha ?
You NEED to try this joint. Seriously- stop reading and get over there.The service was incredible and I felt very valued while dining in. I was the only customer at the time but my server took amazing care of me. It was my first time trying this place and definitely not my last. Their complimentary corn bread is amazing and not to mention that they have a small selection of drinks. I tried the Philly with a side of Mac n cheese and sweet potato fries. The food was so crispy, fresh, steamy and to die for. I can't say enough great things about this place. The workers need a raise too because they were all so kind.
Chicken fried chicken, Mac and cheese (heaven in a cup) and sweet corn- Jesus it’s good …. This is my second time ordering and wow they have not disappointed. So much flavor and filling wow. The gravy is so delicious. If you get a chance have their corn bread. Best hands down. I will Continue to eat here for my chicken fried chicken needs and cravings. It’s a must try
Mimosas were chilly and tasty, banana waffles were scrumptious, omlette was fresh and gooey with cheese, and the chicken and waffles were worthy enough to make me want to go back and try them again

We went on Saturday morning around 10 so it was very busy... but we did get the last open seat at the bar! Our order was taken right away, and soon after we got our mimosas and cornbread! Mimosas were great and the cornbread delicious!We waited about 20 minutes and no food.... so we ordered more mimosas, 20 minutes after that still no food, so we ordered mimosas and we were given more cornbread for free. So after about an hour of ordering we received our food.If it wasn't the best chicken and Waffles I've ever had I would have been upset! I used to think Roscoe's C&W's was the best and I went there often in Cali! But Mr. C's is phenomenal! Chicken was so crisp and flavorful! The gravy was like whoa?! And the spicy sauce is perfect!! Waffles are huge and delicious!We will definitely go back again and again!

This can’t be what they are calling candied yams. I see the yam. Where’s the candy?! And they must have changed the portion sizes recently, usually isn’t this small. The chicken is pretty good. I don’t care for the waffles or the shrimp and grits.
first impression the floor was sticky by the door and it took a while for our order to be taken. Also, smelled bad not sure what it was. Took a while for my food to come the portion sizes were really small. They almost forgot to give me my chicken had to go back in and ask for that and when i got it, it was like chicken tenders. It was good customer service and the food was average not really a soul food vibe but good comfort food i guess.
