I've been coming to this restaurant for the past 5 years or so. I don't even live in the city anymore but when I'm here I come to Mittman. The lady up front is always so friendly and the waitresses are the same 2 they've had for years now which speak alot for a restaurant business. The place is small but the wait is not long for to go orders or dine in. It hasn't lost its sazon yet and my tortillas are still homemade.
Best carne guisada with cheese hands down love the Tea with lemon very respectful and good people . I Love y’all ???
Small place. good food. But definitely yes just order breakfast special if you do not want to spend too much and do not change anything or ask how much more extra will be?$$ and cost of plates on menu cause yes prices may not be what you see written on there!! Also keep tabs on your receipt, bank card or money when paying. Between walk in orders, seated customer orders, phone orders and cashier/owner charging and packaging orders plus not wearing eye glasses as needed. You might end up missing something!!
Homemade mexican food in a neighborhood community setting and still going strong! Tried the breakfast tacos with half / half tea lemonade. Absolutely delicious. Everyone must try, you won't be disappointed
I have been eating at Mittman's since 1989. There's never been a time I didn't enjoy my food! Mary, the owner, is a remarkable lady. I walk in, and my order gets placed. She knows her customers well.
Went to Mittman this afternoon for lunch. We have enjoyed great food at previous visits to this location on the east side. I wanted to add bacon to a breakfast plate which was being still served at the time. The waitress came back to notify me that the price was going up six dollars so a six dollar plate was now cost me $12 without tax included yet. When I question my waitress she referred to the owner which the owner shared with me that I was being charged almost $1.50 per piece of bacon and that also the plate that I had ordered at six dollars had gone up three additional dollars because they have the right to change prices. As a small business owner I understand fluctuation of prices. I also understand in notifying my clients not only in a price change but in how much the price has changed. So please beware when ordering your food at MITMAN do not go by prices on the menu but much rather ask your waitress what the current prices are to see if it’s something that you feel worth your meal. I say this because the owner to my face told me that with the warning at the bottom of the menu that price is subject to change that she has the right to charge me but she feels fit. It is my opinion that small business like that give other small businesses a bad name. NEVER AGAIN, SAD!!
This precious lady and her husband have been here a long time. The food is good, hot, and the Customer Service is bar none. And they are Faithful to the Savior, Jesus Christ!
Always delicious. Staff is wonderful
Been coming here since my teens, I'm almost 50. Quality and quantity of the food went down but the cost went up. I know mind paying abit more but I want the food to be good. I know business are struggling but people will go else where for better quality.
Thanks to the cook who made it possible for me to enjoy a meal I had been craving. A good ol cheese enchilada plate with huevos rancheros on top. Thank you guys and thanks to the staff for making my first experience a memorable one.
