I've reviewed other locations of Merit Coffee, and this one is no different than those. Yes, the prices are a little steep, but the coffee here is amazing, the staff is super-friendly, there is plenty of seating, free WiFi, and an atmosphere that feels both relaxing and modern at the same time. Merit Coffee is my go-to coffee house now, no matter which location I'm near.
Got a small lavender latte. It was good but a little too sweet for me (I should have specified). The large latte is 4 shots of espresso!!! The Cafe itself is hip and industrial looking with lots of young people. You can get fresh beans here and they'll grind it for you if you want. I bought a bag to bring home to see how it compares with my local coffee roasters and will amend this review.
I really like the flavor of your coffee, but it took me 10 min to get an americano which is unacceptable to me, from what I could see; 1.- the person in front of me was having a conversation with cashier, which is good, but then have a second cashier, then the coffee of the person was prepared immediately but then they prepare an other couple for the persons in the store and then mine (which was a to go as well) I didn't understand how the process the orders, finally I went to the bar with the sugar, milk and all that stuff and the half and half was empty, so I asked for a bit of it, the lady went to the bar, took the jug fill it with half and half and the pour it in my coffee. Wouldn't it had been easier to first put a few on my coffee and then do whatever she has to do? Service is a two stars for me today! Sorry guys
Beautiful coffee shop with amazing vibes! The cappuccino I got was very good and the baristas were super friendly and chill. I'm just visiting San Antonio but if I lived here this would be my go to spot!
I was really hoping to like this place since they’ve such high raving reviews. I arrived early and was so excited to order tacos but they were out. The barista informed me that they only order 5 of each each day. They seemed really popular so I wish they would consider ordering more for future. Anyways we then ordered our lattes. And I didn’t quite like mine but I also didn’t want it to go to waste so I asked for a to go cup but was told that I would be charged an extra $1.50 for it. That makes absolutely no sense since their coffee wasn’t good and I already paid for it. And just wanted to take it away.
What a super relaxed vibe! First time trying Merit was definitely a success! Vanilla latte was super smooth and the bacon egg croissant was to die for!! Also have custom merch you can purchase! Great environment to relax and try to get some work done! Can be a bit hard to find seating at some times but there are also outside tables!
Can’t go wrong with the coffee here...and breakfast tacos in the morning!?!? They sell out fast.
Had a yummy vanilla latte and was very tempted to try the food served from chilaquil or the yogurt options from mother culture. The pastries also looked scrumptious. Nice atmosphere to have a coffee date or get work done on your computer.
Chill and chic space, very industrial with a young business clientele. The barista was very polite and efficient. I got an affogato and Em got a chai latte--both were delicious and we enjoyed sitting and talking.The space for seating is not particularly plentiful because it seems people like to do what we were doing, sitting and working/talking, so don't expect a seat if you come during peak hours.They do offer food options but we didn't partake. Definitely recommend the spot.
Customer service was good, but the cold brew was not. I ordered 2, had high hopes. It was super bitter, just not the taste I like. But, then, 1/3 of the way through there was something chunky that came through the straw. Idk what it was... wasn't curdled cream, not a coffee ground... might have been in the ice, but I looked and there was more on the bottom of the cup. I almost vomited it was nasty. I dumped them out... wish I had saved them and brought them back to show them. Anyway, yuck.
