You can spend hours in the market square lots of unique shops and gifts guaranteed to find a gift for everyone on your list a must do great restaurants as well

We visited here late Friday afternoon. We parked in the Historic Market parking lot; although we had to pay I thought it was worth it for the convenience. We enjoyed browsing in a few stores. It was fun to look around at the colorful flags overhead, and at the food venders set up: corn, churros, margaritas, etc. were all on offer. For dinner, we ate at Mi Tierra, which I think is a must do for visiting the market.

10 a.m. arrival, 10:10 departure. coffee $3.25. traveled to Mexico numerous times it is no surprise lots of shops with the same old stuff... San Diego, CA has much more to offer. MeuterMedia

I love looking at all the unique items each store has but alot proved to just care about the money and not you experience to their tourist town. If you sell products, especially the prices they have, you would assume they are made with good quality and would last more than just a few days. A backpack purse I bought started unraveling and coming apart 2 days after I bought it.

We stopped at the Mexican market for an hour on our hop on hop off stop. It's definitely a must see area while in San Antonio. There are souvenir vendor stalls to walk around with Mexican knick knacks. There are a few over priced restaurants with long waits. I recommend the street food vendors. It's an atmosphere in itself to just walk around.

We only walked around on the outside for the most part. Lots of little shops on both sides of street selling trinkets and lots of stands selling food. People are required to mask up as they walk around even outside. In fact, I was told by the rent a cop that I needed to put my mask on when I wasn't actively drinking my beverage. I wasn't walking and drinking but rather sitting on a wall away from people. So that is just a heads up on that. We did go on inside the building right when you enter. My husband found a zip up hoodie that has San Antonio stitched in which he hadn't been able to find previously. Very hard sell by the people at stands inside that building.

Full of cheap imported trinkets. There is some nice poetry and some nice shaws. It is fun for a few minutes.

I thought it would be a true Mercado, it’s all warehouse goods. Every shop has same stuff, not all that unique in my opinion.

Enoughed my visit. Was able to get authentic Mexican vanilla for my Christmas baking. Hate to mention but the do take temperature when walking inside

We visited the outside individual stores on a week day and went back on Saturday for the main market area. The market was kind of crowded and would not recommend if you are trying to maximize social distancing right now.... but the vendors all and items that were fun to explore.
