Update for review! So I talked to a assistant manager and they made every thing right. Even asked about our vacation. Thank you for fixing the problem. You're awesomeDrove 16 miles to get here and they closed an hour early. Not cool people. We were here in San Antonio for vacation and this just sucked

Our Waco location has been closed for years so we only get Marble Slab when we are in San Antonio. The 281 and Bitters location certainly did not disappoint. The employees were courteous and quick, and the ice cream was AMAZING!! One employee, Noora, was an amazing saleswoman. A customer came in with a specific dessert craving and began to describe her favorite dessert. Instead of saying, “I’m sorry. We don’t have that here,” she began suggesting ice cream flavors, mix-in’s, and toppings to come up with the closest replica. The woman was excited and honored and loved the taste of the creation. I was astonished and impressed by her quick thinking and cheerful attitude as she worked. Great job.

Noora was amazing. Great attitude, funny, helpful, and patient. Handled the store late at night by herself so awesomely.Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Only one person working for a pretty busy spot. Milkshake tasted like frothed milk with no other flavor. Wouldn’t recommend if you have a craving.

Julie was fantastic helping me out on last min ice cream cake order, totally saved the birthday! Staff are all friendly, service is quick given everything is made after people try like 3 samples.

I go to this location just because it’s near my house but never again after my experience on Valentines Day. Employee did not ring up coupon correctly and kept giving excuses like “her manager raised the prices and it’s a lot more than what’s on the board.” I made sure I followed the exact instructions for the Valentines Day reward. I’m not confrontational so I said I would go back to my car to get more money. Another customer paid for my order. This shouldn’t have happened. I saw the itemized receipt before the employee threw it away. She only took 99 cents off when one was supposed to be free.

My friend posted this. This is the pictures to go with the story. It was super cold that night when they kicked us out of the store just so that theu could leave early. If you look closely in one of the pictures you can see the clock on the wall and the time at that point was 9:45. The trash cans were in side leaving us locked out side to take care of our own trashIce cream cups dirty paper napkins. We are very disappointed we were treated this way. We have videos as well... with a large group (20 people) a little before 9:30 pm. Closing was at 10 pm. There were two employees in the store, one of which was sweeping when we arrived and disappeared into the back when we came in. The remaining employee started serving us and the other employee came out of the back to run the cash register. Then three young men entered the store from across the parking lot, went to the back and one came out with an apron. One of the employees stated that they were off duty employees that were hanging around the parking lot and came to help get us through the store. That was awesome except only one of them washed their hands before serving ice cream. The one with the curly hair that kept the grey hoodie on the entire time never washed his hands. He is also was the one that seemed to be giving the orders. They stated that they could not serve us any shakes or mixings; they could only serve just ice cream. All of us were served within 10 minutes. After which they told us that the dining room was closed and we had to stand outside. This was at 9:40 pm. It was also 52 degrees outside and most of our group were not adults. They then proceeded to pick up the outside tables as we were standing around the tables and moved them inside and closed the store 10 minutes after they ushered outside. The young man that was telling us the dining room was closed was not even one of the employees supposedly on duty. There was a Mercedes outside with what looked like parents waiting for one of the employees and one of them kept coming in and talking with one of the employees. Not sure if that had anything to do with the store closing early or not. Not sure who is in charge of this location, but when we were here last, we were not treated like this at all.

Our server Nora was very friendly and gracious. She moved the line efficiently and with a professional manner. Ice cream choices were fantastic, so we're mixi-ins. Perfect size and so delicious!

Typical Marble Slab! Can't complain. It got very busy when we went because we were a group of 5 with very different orders and only one guy behind the counter. Didn't help that another group came in behind us which was even larger that ended up leaving before they could be served. If you're fine with potentially having a wait, great place to get some ice cream.
