We ordered our kiddos food before our own and then it took about 40 minutes for us to get our own food. By then we had filled up on chips and salsa. The food was good and hot. Then the waitress took another 40+ minutes to get our check. It's a nice place and the food was good. They just need better service.

Mamacita's charges $3.50 for a cup of coffee. Then they'll over you a refill (like all other restaurants do) but they don't tell you that the "refill" will cost you another $2.50 !! We eat out a lot so we know what other San Antonio restaurants charge for coffee and their refills are free.

Everything was perfect. The chips and dips was a great way to start. I ordered the carnitas and had the turtle cheesecake for dessert. Definitely will back there with my family

good food and good service. their mammcita sauce and green salsa was so yummy. kids loved the fountain they have inside.

Loved this place , food was good , just the dip which they served with nachos (green dip) didn’t match my taste bud , other then that everything was good , we had birthday celebration waiters singed happy birthday it was a memorable evening . Please plan and go in advance there is no prior reservation

If you’re into Tex-Mex food with a healthy dose of Tex-Mex kitch, then Mamacita’s might be the place for you. This place serves ample amounts of food with a lively atmosphere, but overall service does not match the environment. The restaurant is cavernous, like walking into an indoor market square in Mexico. Except there’s an animatronic Davy Crockett playing the fiddle on a balcony overlooking the dining area. He comes on at regular intervals like a thought that keeps popping into your head. But that thought is shrouded by the sounds of early 18th century folk music. And the player is a creepy plastic guy with a raccoon skin hat.The food was presented well. The chips and salsa were good, but the green salsa does look like toothpaste. It’s actually made with avocado, cream cheese, and cilantro. The chips were warm, thin, and tasty. Out meal was brought out promptly and was hot. Sufficient amounts of cheese and entree filled the plates. The reason why I would have to think about returning is because of the server. He never gave his name, and he didn’t look like he wanted to give it. This server was grumpy and was super slow to intersect with us. Had he been half as engaging as the surrounding, my return to this restaurant would be ensured.

DELICIOUS and fun. Place to celebrate than place to cel We live in Austin but have been coming to San Antonio for 7+ years because of double lung and kidney transplant at University Hospital. Stopped here often so what better place to celebrate than at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Atmosphere is second to none!!

We had not been here in MANY years and recently joined out-of-town friends for lunch here. It is located on the access road of IH 10 East just before Callaghan Rd. and had ample parking. There is a nice front seating area to wait for all of your party to arrive. The hostess greeted and sat us quickly. Our waiter, Mario, was very attentive and courteous. The noise level was low and the place is very clean and the décor is nice too. We all ordered different menu items as there was a large selection to choose from the menu. The orders were a half order of Nachos al Carbon/Beef Fajita ($9.99), #9 Cheese Enchiladas with Chili con Carne ($11.99), Taco Salad w/Grilled Chicken ($9.99), Fish Tacos ($13.99) and ice teas. The plates were plentiful, the fish tacos were stuffed with two fried fillets and the taco salad came in a large fried corn tortilla filled with iceberg lettuce, chopped tomato, a side of guacamole and a side of queso. All the food was fresh and filling as well as really good. A nice place for a gathering, celebration or to take out-of-towners.

The food and experience was incredible. The service was very fast, and friendly. The atmosphere was amazing with all the tiny shops it looked very cool for the family and large groups. I would definitely come back and bring the kids or even for date night. The drinks were a plus.

We would recommend this restaurant the food is delicious and our waiter Jesse was amazing and super attentive. Love eating here every time we visit San Antonio. Great customer service ❤
