I went for dinner with my family to this place in San Antonio last night and had a very worst experience . This place was too hot they have AC and fans too but still it is very hot . I have ordered chicken ambur Biryani this is the worst Biryani . The Biryani was very old and it tasted very bad and the chicken was like rock hard . My husband ordered for kottu Paratta which was ok and chicken pallipalayam was not tasting good so couldn’t eat that . We had some egg bonda and idly with all chutneys was Good. Customer service needs to be improvised . I was really disappointed with the food and it is not worth for the money . After few hours this food made me sick and had to deal with stomach pain whole night . TheManagement team requesting you please for sake of making money please don’t put people’s life at risk by serving unhealthy and stale food .

We got dosas and parothas. Food was very delicious and a good portion size. All the chutneys and sambar were yum! If you are here for Thalis, mind you they are only available for lunch. Please don’t forget to get your kumbakonam filter coffee fix after meals (my fav part!!)

I can’t even put into words how amazing this meal was. My mother and I got non vegetarian thali, one of each and shared. Husband had lamb saag…..the lamb was so tender in literally melted in my mouth. Authentic and absolutely delicious, ALL OF IT!! Oh also the samosas were more flavorful than I’ve ever had anywhere!

One of the best tamil non-vegetarian restaurants I had eaten from in the US. My wife and I ordered a plate of Medu vadai, masala dosa, Pallipalayam Chicken, lemon rice, and sugarcane juice. They even made a fresh lime juice when i requested, which was not in their menu. All of the food that we had ordered tastes excellent. Especially the Pallipalayam chicken, it is really spicy and tasty at the same time. Their chutneys served with vadai and dosa was really good. Cocnut chutney tastes fresh and onion chutney tastes different. They had very good customer service, from the person who took our order, server and even the cashier were so nice and asked about the food and experience. We will go there again when we visit San Antonio.

Excellent food. First time for myself trying South Indian food (as opposed to other regions). Huge portions. Best to order a few things and share with the table. Will be back again. 10/10

Happy to see the consistency maintained over the times at the great taste and the very well cooked recipes at this place. Have both dined in as well as done take-outs numerous times. My tastes are more focused on the chicken related menu items though their mutton delicacies are also great too. I have always found the food to be fresh, well cooked and they capable of customizing most items according to the spice level you desire. Their vegetarian dishes are also very very good and have enjoyed them too a lot!! Peaceful ambience for a great family dining experience is what I have found at the restaurant!! Please keep up the great work!!

From Bay Area, I was visiting San Antonio and came across this place for lunch on my last day. We were in a hurry to start driving all the way to Dallas back and catch the night flight. We notified the cashier and asked to help with quick service. We got seated quickly and they tried their best to deliver it faster. I tried the Non Veg thali meals. Wow that was one good spicy authentic South Indian Meal. Non-South-Indians may have to request to tone the spice level down. Wish we had found this place earlier. Highly recommend for a good south Indian spicy meal. Definitely in my list to visit next time when I travel there.

Food was amazing. Traditional South Indian cuisine served in steel plates and banana leaf. The dosa, pongal, sambar and idli were all delicious. Worth a visit

Omg this place is amazing, everything we tried was absolutely delicious... ?

Want some amazing authentic Indian food at San Antonio - definitely head out to Madurai Mes. Even on a week day, the place was packed and we had to wait for getting a table. The service is a bit slow, but the food quality makes up for the wait. If you have a sweet tooth, do give their "jigarthanda" a try.. either as a drink or as a dessert.
