San Antonio has so many great bars, but for my money Maddy McMurphy's beat them all. I always started my walking here. The people were friendly and efficient. You can (and will) go to many great places on the Riverwalk, but trust me, you'll be glad you hit this place. Oh, and by the way, a special shout out to Cassandra, who was a delight during my San Antonio sojourn. Thanks! I'll be back for sure.

This bar is my favorite bar when I come downtown. The service is great and the food is great. Lots of options for food and some great Irish options. Leah and Kaitlin are some of the best bartenders I've encountered. My drink is always waiting as soon as I walk in and they never make me wait for a refill when these two are behind the bar. 5 STARS

Irish pub/sports bar in the middle of downtown San Antonio near the Alamo & Riverwalk.,Giant 160″ Video Screen high above the bar and multiple big screen TV’s, large selection of beer and shots, a nice patio. We had the tasty "Timmy pizza" - soft , cheesey & yummy garlic / parmesan wings. Washed it down with a pint of Guinness! Great special's and Happy Hour . Service was on point.

Dirty. Tables and chairs had a layer of filth and dust. The girls behind the bar were more concerned with how they looked in the mirror than serving the minimal amount of people in the bar. Also they knew nothing about their bar menu.

Emily and Kaitlynn were amazing!!! Friendly and smiling….the World needs more smiles like theirs!!! Great place when in San Antonio!!!

This bar was awesome, special thanks to Ryan Wood , and Gabe they made sure that the Marine Tankers were set up with one of the best bartenders and server. Cassandra the bartender not only did a fantastic job but she ensured that the Marines were well taken care of. Her initiative, dedication, and loyalty to Maddy Mcmurphys was well demonstrated with the actions she showed during our event. The server was just as good, Nailieu was on track, not only was she busting her hump she ensured that no Marine Tanker went dry. Would be proud to have a person like that in the Marine Corps. Hats on with a salute to the whole group. Semper Fi!

The cook handled all the food with his bare hands. They just microwave the food. The food is over priced. The drinks are okay price wise 6$ for a beer. They will never have business from me ever again nor their sister pub. ( Mad Dogs) I would have rather ate McDonalds! The waitress are pretty good tho checking up on you and fill up your drinks promptly.

We stumbled into this Irish Pub / Sports bar when we’re were walking from the Riverwalk to our hotel. It seemed like a mix of tourists and locals, and the prices were more affordable than the Riverwalk itself. It’s a relaxed atmosphere with a mixture of music and sports.

Maddys was across from the hotel and very convenient. We did not realize the NCAA was here until we walked in...the noise was LOUD! But we were tired and just needed to eat and turn in for the night. The waitstaff was very cordial and attentive to our needs. We ordered a Pasties plate, chicken strips, and chips and salsa...it's San Antonio. Chips we blah and salsa jar type, chicken strip bland and cooked but not fried(?), pasties were okay. The one redeeming quality, the beer was cold! Will we return? For a pint maybe, but not to eat especially during game night.

This place is amazing! Coming from Tampa and enjoying st Patty’s here today with an awesome live band! Mary the manager gave my daughter a st Patty’s headband and beads and it made her day!! Can’t wait to come back and visit! The green beer was awesome (la blonde) and the food was delicious especially the Reuben!!!
