This is my first visit here and I loved it. I went with a friend and we shared the artichoke spinach dip that was good. He ordered the Cobb salad and I got the fish and chips. I would highly recommend the fish and chips. We got the Irish coffee cheesecake for dessert and it was excellent. Service was extremely friendly and took great care of us. Luckily we came on a Monday night around 645 so it wasn’t very crowded. On a crowded weekend this place would probably have a long wait list. When we went there were even some empty tables. So go mid week if you don’t like to wait.
They stole my money. They charged my card more than the receipt (that I signed. My bill was 95.00 they tried charging 109.00 the card was declined. I called the company while at the table and the company said that it was declined because the amount that was requested was more than what was on the card. So, when I questioned it the waitress (Hailey) was adamant that all was charged was 95.00. Then I told her to charge 80.00. She came back with a receipt with 80.00. Someone else used their credit card for the balance. We gave a cash tip. The next day I checked my balance and they charged 92.00 which was not the total I signed for. I tried calling the manager and district manager several times and neither one of them has called me back. So, please be careful when paying with a gift card. They stole 12.00 from me.
I was amused and befuddled by the kilts worn by the workers in a British Pub. Maybe they’re trying to be funny or maybe they just don’t know any better. It was odd. The fish n chips were good. The Harp on tap wasn’t very cold. The bright spot was Jamie, my bartendress. She was cheerful and attentive. Service with a smile is scarce these days and she was serving it up. Kilts in a British pub???
Great view friendly staff and good food. We walked around and Mad Dog was reasonably priced.The restaurant was clean and clean bathroomsNice fans to sit outsideWould come back and eat again.
In purely British fashion, I had to Fork and Knife the reuben patty melt because it was so massive that the rye bread was unable to hold together. Really and truthfully, I love these kind of pubs. The wood finish and stained glass provides an awesome atmosphere. The food is pretty decent, not mind blowing but it does the job. Service was great as multiple servers and a manager came by to make sure we had everything. Music was live andvthe singer was talented with a variety of covers. Honestly I've passed by this place a dozen times but it was worth walking in for a quick bite.
Great place for beer, good food and a great cheer! Place was clean and tidy like we remembered it back in 2017! As we were visiting the RW thought we would revisit some old haunts. The only one that stood out from the crowd was Mad Dogs! Excellent and had to come back again whilst in SA. Thank you for the great beer, food and wonderful hospitality - back to the UK we go. Cheerio and see you again.
The staff were great, location too. Enjoyed a cold beer and a sandwich whilst watching the world go by. Very efficient staff. They were very helpful
Best pub around that I've found. (Although they could have more English beers on draught.) The Scotch eggs are fantastic and so is the fish and chips. The Cajun salad was pretty good. Good service and nice atmosphere. Right on the River walk. They do have outside seating also that is pet friendly.
We really enjoyed meal and the atmosphere. We’ve eaten at so many subpar river walk restaurants that this was a pleasant surprise. Staff was friendly and attentive. If you buy a tall beer you get a souvenir glass. The food was very good. We had the berry salad and grilled chicken mush and it was so good I forgot to get pictures before we devoured it. Same with the cheesecake SOOOOO good!! We were there with live music and they were great. We will definitely come back before we head home.
There is no hamburger in the picture because it was absolutely delicious! I had the beefeaters double patty. Drinks were tasty and service was 100% top notch. Would recommend stopping by this place, they have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have pretty fun swag for sale.
