This place started out so strong. They had a very large menu that had some amazing authentic Sichuan food. This was our first time back since the pandemic and it was quite different. They really cut their menu back and took the prices off. They also don't have any pork dishes which is very strange because Sichuan cooking is mostly pork. The dishes they do have are good but no longer outstanding. I hope they get back to where they were before
This place is small and cozy on the inside and not really made for large party seating. Think date night, solo experience, or intimate dinning with a couple of friends. Ambiance was dim lighting and dark decor. The flavor of the food was okay yet alternatively the presentation was very pretty. I ordered a few items yet my server forgot to bring two of my dishes, hence why only 1 item is pictured. Unfortunately, I will not return.
Super good, I would recommend everything we got. Came for dumplings and they were all great! We got a lot of food and we site every bite.Egg rolls, dumplings, lo mein, everything was great! The amount of food we got the price was amazing.
A Chinese friend of mine found this place for us to try while visiting from Florida. As per his comment thisnis an authentic Schiuan Chinese Restaurant! Highky recommended, Wonton soup is incredible along with Sichuan Spicy Chicken, Fried rice, House made dumplings and so on!
The pepper steak is amazing!
Amazing authentic Sichuan dishes! The sushi is great, too. Relaxed atmosphere and great service. We will be back.
The contingency plan restaurant that turned out better than the original. Dinner reservations for a large group at a Korean place but 1/2 of the group won't be able to make it on time so we cancelled our reservations and scrambled to find another place which will be able to accommodate us. Found Li's Restaurant who welcomed us even though it was last minute on a Saturday evening.(IKR!?!). On arrival, we were seated right away. Drink orders taken but then, the place really filled which got us worried as there were only 2 people working the front. Yes things got hectic, but the staff remained calm and cool and courteous and managed the crowd superbly. Long story short, they were very quick, the food was delicious and we had a great time! ? ??
My family used to love this restaurant for authentic Chinese food when it first opened several years ago. Now, it seems to be under new ownership, and the quality has tanked. We ordered once, and received much smaller portions and lower quality food than before. The dishes were both much too small for the price we paid and did not taste right at all. We are Chinese, we know what makes for good Chinese food. This was very disappointing. We will be going to Lucky Noodle and Sichuan Garden from now on.In the images, we paid SIXTY dollars for everything. This was ridiculously expensive for the small portions.
This place is soooo good! Authentic Sichuan food. It’s hard to find a authentic/decent Chinese restaurant in San Antonio but this one has been the best I’ve come across. The only I’d say is the portions are little small but for 3 dishes it was fairly cheap. The mini steam buns are a MUST and the crispy spicy chicken!
we ordered li’s takeout for a family dinner per my sisters request. we were very excited because we have been a long fan fan of li’s since they opened. but we were very disappointed when we opened everything and saw how small all of the portions were compared to the past. i included a picture for reference of the cumin lamb dish, which was $16. we had only eaten maybe two pieces from that photo, and you can clearly see that it’s barely even filled at all. the quality of the food was pretty good, nothing incredibly special to pay $16 for barely any food. not sure if we’ll order here in the future because of this.
