We visited La Villita 3 days in a row on our visit to San Antonio. It is just slightly off the beaten path of the Riverwalk but directly accessible right above it. Great service and the prices are extremely reasonable. The food was made to order and steaming hot. Highly recommend it vs. a hotel breakfast, which is what most of the rear of the options are along the Riverwalk.

My friend and I walked into the La Villita Cafe and were very warmly greeted. The hostess immediately said 3 words I may never forget: Brisket Breakfast Biscuits. My friend and I were sold and they were amazing!

First timer. The line was not long but with just three people in front of me, it took forever! Not sure what went down. I ordered a brisket and avocado taco - BIG mistake! Paid nearly $6 for this taco. The amount of meat would have been okay if it wasn't dripping with grease and if it had real slices of "avocado" and it came with real salsa or pico de Gallo. The avocado was really some leftover guacamole. The salsa was really a liquid hot sauce on the side. Very, very disappointing! Kudos to the staff that was cleaning the entire time I was there. My husband's wrap looked good. I don't think I will ever come back here for food again. Perhaps for ice cream because it was labeled Bluebell but even so I would rather buy it from the grocery store. Disappointed.

Nice cafe for a break from the shops. Nice staff and good variety on their menu. My brisket wrap was ok, not the best and not the worst brisket that I’ve had and it was tender. Wife had the Village Wrap and was very happy with it. Prices are decent, tea and coffee are quite good. Give it a try

Everything was very good and they were very nice and helpful with tea refills. Things were clean too.

This was our last breakfast before heading home to Dallas. It was really good! The pancakes are huge and fluffy, they made my eggs perfect (over medium), and the bacon was cooked just right. And the drip coffee is very good, too!The best part is the service. They’re so friendly and chatted with us for a bit. I’ll definitely be coming back when we come to San Antonio again!

This place was excellent , we were created right away. Received a total walk through of the whole breakfast menu. Food was brought to the table and served before I even could feel any amount of hunger. Brandy was such an amazing server/ cashier/all of thee above she made our first time visit memorable and will be sure to return!! 5 star visit

Not sure if the other reviewers visited the same place we did, but the food here was absolutely terrible! Overpriced ... and tasteless! We love little local cafes, but this is definitely a tourist trap that takes advantage of tourists strolling through the La Villita neighborhood. Wish we had taken a photo of the lackluster plate of food that was delivered to our table.

The staff was incredible! Everyone was very attentive. Each table they passed they were asking if anyone needed anything. They stayed busy cleaning, taking plates away, and were extremely kind. The food had great portion sizes and the presentation was very good. The prices were very reasonable as well. Food and drinks definitely needs more flavor. But I really can’t get over how magnificent the staff was.

The location is what makes this place. When you are walking through La Villita, or are starting your day walking past it, this cafe has a range of cost-effective food that is typically pretty good. I usually purchased the Alamo Benedict or Santa Ana Rancheros plate and wasn't disappointed in how long it took to get the food out or how it tasted. When we visited there was usually plenty of table space available if we didn't want to take it on the go either. The architecture of the building is pleasant, the servers often spoke fluent English or Spanish and had made obvious efforts to keep the space sanitary during the pandemic. There isn't really anything exceptional about this spot but if you are looking for quality food at a reasonable price this is a nice place to start off the River Walk or going into La Villita itself.
