Fantastic fresh pastries made on premise. It's great the you have to wait in line to order your food, that way you get to gawk at all the wonderful pastries. Do not be put off by prices because the portions are super big. I got a croissant because I'm not a breakfast person at all; it was sublime. Others in my party had the eggs Benedict over chicken, which is funny, and avocado toast. All fresh and wonderfully prepared. The Agua Frescas and fountain sodas are flavorful and not overly sweet. We were only in town for 1.5 days and this was on the list of must go to places.
Wow!! Arrived to hotel and was looking for some good food and just around the corner from the Sheraton in San Antonio, I ran into a long line and automatically caught my attention by the name! La panadería! I got in line and I knew this restaurant was a 5 star with the owner greeting people in to the restaurant! The setup was awesome with a fast lane to order and the owner was so hands on, not only greeting but providing a menu while I waited in line and asked me if I had any questions! Just with that I knew the food was going to be amazing! It did not disappoint! Food was so delicious and the presentation of the plates were on point! I went with the Ranchero Eggs Benedictine !! I was lost for words on how delicious it was flavor was on point! First restaurant in SA and it did not disappoint!
Wonderful place. Got there around 8am, already line outside. It didn't take long, about 15 mins wait. Well worthwhile. All pastry and bread are freshly made. Buttery. Kids got Alvarado toast, I got scramble eggs and ham. House coffee. Clean, delicious,
Sandwiches (Tortas) are definitely worth the wait, which this restaurant has almost every day it is open.Line extends beyond main doors most of the times and you’ll get plenty of time to look over the menu and decide.Deserts / pastries are amazing too! Definitely try the Tequila Almond Croissant and Opera cake slice.Sourdough bread is good too.Side of white rice is nothing to be excited about though. Get a soup probably.Prices are very reasonable for its location, food quality, service and ambiance.Definitely worth a try!
There's always a line but it moves fairly quickly. Don't let the name fool you. There's so much more than pastries and sweet bread. We were impressed by the service and quality of the food. Everything was delicious. This was our 1st visit and we will definitely be returning!
A basic Google search led me to this cute dining experience with amazing Mexican pastries. The latte I ordered was just okay. But the pastries were divine. Row upon row of sweet and savory pastries meet your eye as you enter this quaint Cafe.Their comfy couches and variety of breakfast and lunch options make this a must go if you were in San Antonio.
This restaurant was 5-10 minutes away from our stay and worth it. Service is always excellent. The Staff talks to you and explains food items. They are so accommodating and friendly. Clean place. Great area.
There was a long line in the morning. We came at 1:00 and was able to order right away. You must order before you grab a table- getting a table can be difficult- however there were many open tables outside. We had the avocado toast with poached eggs. The avocado was citrusy and well seasoned and the bread was so fresh. We grabbed a chocolate concha and tequila croissant to go. A must stop
Wow, so delicious! The line moved efficiently. I didn’t have time for the hot breakfast, but left with some excellent take-away pastries, and they were all very fresh, affordable, and delicious! This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint!!
Great breakfast place, but expect a line if you get there before 10:00. Incredible pastries are a bonus. Wife said the cinnamon raisin pecan- French toast with scrambled eggs & bacon was incredible also. I had the Ranchero smoked pork eggs Benedict & black bean soup, bread was so dry I had to cut off the crusts and leave them cause there was not enough sauce/ yolk to soften them enough to chew. But it was flavorful.
