Hadn't been back in several years but the food was worthy of a much sooner repeat visit. Tasty & ample margs. Volume was loud when mariachis played but was enjoyable.
Always great food and service. We drive from Austin to SA at least once a month to eat here Love it.

Terrible service. Got the order wrong. Ordered corn tortillas but they gave us flour. Then it took them forever to bring us corn tortillas and meal was almost over already. Forget you want more chips. Not doing table side guacamole anymore. Expensive, $42 for shrimp fajitas. Not even that great. Sopaipillas not fully cooked. Couldnât eat them. Told manager but he didnât do anything.
Tuesday is our favorite day to go to La Fogata for the Poco de Todo buy one get one. One of the best plates they serve. Alway great service and and hot food, cold drinks and great dining experience.
We visit San Antonio often to visit family. I chose La Fogata so we could try someplace we had never been before for Tex-Mex. This was hands down our best meal in a long time!! We will return every single time we visit. Fabulous food, drinks and service!!!
