Service was not as good as we’ve had before n the past. Server brought our food then we had to ask for forks. Took several minutes for food to be delivered while hot food waited. She then disappeared for at least 20 minute before coming back so we could order more drinks.

We arrived exactly at our scheduled appointment time if not one minute early. There was nobody to meet me at the host or hostess station. I stood there for approximately two minutes and no one showed up so I wound up looking on the screen to verify my own reservation found it found that I was assigned to a table and just as I was walking to the table The hostess showed up. She took me to the same table and was very nice and Suarez down it took forever for the waiter to come over and ask us for drinks. He only took half of my parties orders for drinks. He then came back with those drinks about 10 minutes later and we asked him to fill the other parties orders of drinks. To which he did but then again took another 10 minutes to return with those drinks. Service continued note throughout the entire dining experience. The server would bring us some thing we would ask for a correction and it would take approximately 10 minutes for the correction to be fixed. Example he brought out fajitas but no plates for the fajitas. I had to go get my own plates from the kitchen because he was nowhere to be found. my wife ordered a vegetarian poblano and when that came out everything on the plate was cold and raw. The server was mortified as he should be and took the plate back. That should never of happened. But what the kitchen staff did was rather than actually cook the food, they just put it under it warmer because it came back hot on top cold in the middle and raw on the bottom. I did speak with the manager and he was not happy with what I had to say but he was very apologetic and did not charge us for the plate of raw food which was nice. He also offered us free desserts which we politely declined. My overall assessment is the food is phenomenal, when it’s cooked. The service was mediocre and the managers resolution for problems was perfect.

A new favorite Mexican restaurant for us! Food, drinks, Service and atmosphere were all Fantastic.

Have not been to La Fogata since the pandemic started. We were there yesterday at 1pm. We are just starting to eat at restaurants. The Food/Service was fair! We ordered Chicken Chile Relleno was dry and not much cheese in it. Also, ordered the Poco De Todo plate. The Flauta was dry/chewy not crispy, Fajita taco was tender & Charro Bean were delicious. We do love the Roasted Salsa & even bought a bottle for home. Our waitress was too busy the whole time we were there chit chatting with another waitress. We had to keep trying to get her attention for more chips/salsa/water. She seemed like she was bothered/rude that we were interrupting her conversation with her coworker. Not sure if we'll be back anytime soon. I'll still recommend La Fogata but maybe not this location. We'll maybe try the original location sometime to compare.

I seldom rate restaurants poorly but this experience was to a certain level that will question whether I ever attend La Fogata restaurants in San Antonio. It may be only the location at the Dominion that needs to step up it's game. We paid over $100 for sub par food & $18 margaritas that where watered down , not frozen and not served as advertised. We asked for michelada, they only brought the beer and when we corrected the order, they brought a wine glass with Clamato or "michelada mix" undressed and watered down. Also The Corona beer was served separately from the watered down margarita and so we had to mix the beer and margarita to get the same effect as the "dos-Arita" that was advertised for $18. The taquitos (flautas) plate were small, stale & dried up shredded chicken (hardly any) with dried up hard cheese melted and been sitting a long time hence looked like cheese was old. The accompanied chicken soup had half filled with the rice that was also served in the plate (and Al dente- or not cooked thoroughly), another dish Tortilla soup was replaced since they ran out of the quesadillas with flor de calabaza . Soup seemed to be the same chicken soup only with powder seasoning to give it color. The arrachera plate ($18) was a saucy gravy covered beef plate that resembled mostly a carne guisada plate. Staff was not attentive even as we were seated and never refilled our water. We try to be patient due to the lack of staff at all restaurants in today's environment-- but this location did not make it easy or care about its patrons. I will not recommend this La Fogata location to anyone.

I came to this place expecting a great experience but was disappointed greatly. First of all there is no military discount for the Great Americans who have served our country. Secondly the price for what you get it's a ripoff. 13 dollar's for 1 avocado, ridiculous. Also pay attention to the items that come with your meal as they might leave a few items out like if your meal might say something like sauce or avocado comes with your meal they will leave it out to cheat on items. If you catch it great but if you don't then that saved them money. I had better service at other restaurants also.We had to flag our server down a few times and then he would take awhile to get what we would ask for. My bill came out to 111 dollar's until we complained about the items left out and they deducted 2 soft drinks -about 5 bucks.., crossing this place as a no return.

Went to the Dominion location and although the wait was 40ish minutes, the hostess continued to check on us. We were able to get ice water while we waited outside their restaurant. The waiter was great and the food was amazing! My mole poblano was authentic and delicious. We had a family of 6 adults and 8 children under the age of 7 (definitely outnumbered) but the staff tonight was incredible. I know serving young children isn’t the easiest so that’s definitely the highest praise to this place for not making us seem like an inconvenience. Guacamole was my least favorite but I know that sometimes just depends on the avocados. The sangria margarita is a must. The decor and outdoors is beautiful. We had enchiladas, quesadillas, queso con chorizo, vegetarian dishes and we have no complaints at all. Totally worth the wait.

Great hostess, very friendly and attentive! The margaritas were a hit and the food was outstanding! Will come again.

Waitress was slammed - indoor and outdoors. However, she was outstanding! I didn't catch her name but after waiting numerous minutes, she came to the table and I told her my kids were imploding and needed to get their food quickly. IMMEDIATLY, out came the rice, beans, tortillas and chicken strips we ordered for the kids! The food was good, her disposition was amazing and the kids got fed. Again, I can't say enough about how kind this woman was.

Our server, Karen, was wonderful and attentive. Food was delicious as usual. Overall a great date night to end the week.
