What a fun place! We were visiting San Antonio and our daughter asked to go get some ice cream. We just happened to be driving by this place so we decided to give it a shot! The “waffle cone” is a legit bubble waffle, so soft and the flavor paired so well with the ice cream. We told the staff we’d never tried anything like this place before, and they were super quick to offer suggestions and answer any questions we had. The atmosphere was super chill, and very clean. We look forward to hopefully visiting again some time when we are back in San Antonio!
I’m so excited to finally have bubble waffle ice cream close to San Antonio! I've seen these all over Pinterest and Instagram, and it was a real treat to try for the first time. Love the taste and texture, and the Nagasaki green tea & honey flavor was deliciously floral. I was a little surprised by the price ($8), but overall enjoyed this treat and look forward to coming back.
We drove about 30 minutes to our nearest location in stone oak, and per hours posted online and on their doors they should have been open until 8pm. We arrived at 7:30 to locked doors and when the staff saw us pull up they went straight to the back and turned off the lights. We are really disappointed to have wasted our time driving out.
Hi it’s first place really interesting about ice cream I never been here of place sound great one. When enter going order desserts stuff but “ MATCHA “抹茶のアイスクリームが甘い美味しいですよ。☺️That’s great taste never happen. I was little shock there have matcha omg I never heard here have one….Add 4 top : rainbow baby mochi, pocky, coconut flakes and almond. With waffle bubble that good one. I actually eat some fast because I’m make get excited life. ? have great day for first ice cream matcha enjoyable. ? good experience about this place I want visit again get great ice cream or possibly boba tea other things. So good about the visit today.
I have to start by saying that the ice cream was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful.I’d rather be focusing on these factors and giving the place five stars for its fun menu…but I can’t give it any more than two for how unsanitary the bathrooms are and the implications of the business’s health and safety standards. Our children needed a quick hand and face wash after enjoying their waffle cones, so we needed to use the bathroom. Kudos for the bathrooms being gender neutral, but no kudos for the toilets, floors, walls, sink pedestal, etc. being absolutely gross. There are innumerable layers of pee on the base of the toilets and on the floor around the toilets. The soap dispenser was continuously leaking liquid soap all over the sink and onto the floor. These restrooms had not been cleaned to a minimum standard of being sanitary for employees or customers to use. They had not been cleaned properly in a very long time, as if they belonged to an outdoor rest stop.Considering how gross their bathrooms are, I can’t trust that their food preparation area is safe from whatever the staff is exposed to when they must use the bathroom, let alone the food and drinks they are serving.I hope they can rectify this and make a dedicated effort to Always cleaning their facilities with an abundance of care. There needs to be better oversight and responsibility taken by the owners and management to prevent food-borne illnesses and contamination for the safety of their staff and customers.
I got an ice cream and it AMAZING. The staff was fine, nothing amazing. But the product made up for it. So many options to choose from. It was a fun experience, would recommend!
I was so sad when the Kuma on the northwest side closed, but I’m happy that this one is still kicking!I always have to prep ahead of time because the ice cream and waffle combo is so filling. It can replace a whole meal. However, I really can’t recommend this enough if you’re a fan of ice cream, you really can’t go wrong with any combination you choose.
Our first time to Kuma was when it was located on Babcock next to Nama Ramen. I still remember it used to be one of the few places in SA who served ube ice cream. My parents enjoyed it, especially Mom since ube was her favorite. We stopped by with Dad today and I shared the Mucho Mango with chocolate chips, rainbow mochi, green tea pocky and strawberry pocky. Dad loved the ice cream and bubble waffles.Definitely recommend this place!
Great spot for wings, milk tea and ice cream. Great art work, helpful staff, clean, bright and cheery. My kids want to come every day.
We are so happy to be at our favorite ice cream place once again! I took away a star because they did not have the Vietnamese ice cream; also, they were out of the coffee crunch. So I got the UBE flavor and it was OK but it was very bitter from all of the purple dye. They did not have to add all of that dye. Please do not forget about us coffee lovers And put it back on the menu.
