Definitely worth the stop! The menu selection looks fantastic and the staff is great. I'll make another appearance in a few weeks.
This is still the best place to go for Greek food in San Antonio! This little gem always has a wide menu with great classics. I had the lamb which was excellent while my wife and daughter both had the gyros.
This was my first time to John The Greek in 13 years. It is even better than I remember it. All dinner prices are reasonable. The service was fast for a Friday night, too. I am definitely not waiting 13 years to return every again.
Stopped in for lunch mid week as I was nearby. Food was excellent. I had gyro and salad. Mmm.. Price was good and service was excellent as well. Going again soon. Next time taking friends or family.
Had to pick something up at another store and happened upon this place. Food was fabulous and a friendly staff. Even the pita was slightly toasted with a nice crispy exterior. Tasty, good portions, fresh and excellent service. Great find and we'll be regulars. Rarely are we this totally pleased with any restaurant in any price range.
Nice environment, friendly staff but, the food was extremely over priced. Ordered the chicken kabob plate and for $13 you would think you would get 2 skewers of chicken, No! You get one, with these tiny side servings. It was not worth the money and it was not good tasting.I will continue to go to my regular place, Pasha where you get a full plate 2 skewers of chicken and larger portions with great taste. It was our first time and last time.
I love this place. It was amazing. The Greek salad is the best in town! No one comes close. The Gyro was perfect. Best value and amazing lunch. Perfect lunch and such a great value!!
Our first visit to this restaurant after driving by many times in the last 2 years. My wife and I enjoyed our meal, we had Gyros. We will definitely be back to sample everything else.
My grandkids from NY & I planned a short trip to San Antonio. I researched Greek restaurants, as it is our favorite cuisine. We stopped in for lunch on our first day on the way to the hotel. We enjoyed Gyros, Avgolemono & Fakes soup, along with a few Greek cookies for later. It was sooooo good. We could not stop talking about it & were dreaming of eating there again. The very next day, we went again for lunch & also took soup home for dinner. I highly recommend the wonderful food here. The service is excellent & it is authentic Greek. We only wished they made the Greek lemon potatoes.
Good Service! Good Food! Fun Atmosphere!
