If you like fudge brownies with a rich chocolate taste, not a cheap sugar taste,, this is the treat to order, either ice cold or heated. Free soft serve ice cream to go with it alamode.That being said, the BBQ Texas sized spud, although served piping hot with butter (I got my butter on side) was actually so sweet it tasted like I had poured maple syrup (likely high fructose corn syrup from the BBQ sauce) on top of the baked potato. I suppose that fresh onions would have helped, but not by much. I had to force eat it because I am on the road all day.I don't recommend the TX style spud. I shouldn't have "tried" it, but I thought it would be more BBQ MEAT and less bathing in a sea of sauce. ?
I love Jason's Deli especially their salad bar and sandwiches. While I do enjoy going into the restaurant, I often call in my order to-go. When I do so I am fortunate to often be waited on by employee, Daisy. Without fail, my interaction with her is always a pleasant one. Daisy is attentive, knowledgeable and most of all she is caring and courteous. With the excellent customer service that she provides I always look forward to calling in my order.
Pepperoni Pizza had only 4 thin slices of pepperoni. Pizza dough seemed fresh but a little chewy. Vegetable soup good, but very little vegetables. Macaroni was cold & clumped with what seemed like Kraft Macaroni box cheese.
The two times I’ve been here the customer service and the food has been amazing. The owner welcomed each customer to the restaurant with a genuine smile. I saw him later walk around to each table and ask each of us if we had what we needed, offered to provide drink refills, and share where device chargers were available for those on devices who may need them. He was such a servant leader and his humility and kindness really was profound. I’ll continue eating here because not only because the food is great, but the family atmosphere and customer service is unmatched.
Just a quick stop after surgery. They were just opening. Gave good recommendations. Did not order much, but was satisfied. Did like the Free Ice Cream comes. Did not know about that before. Looked clean, and everyone there, stayed busy.
I have been going to Jason’s with my family for over 30years. I recently decided to try it again after COVID overreaction has settled down. Although I understand that inflation has caused prices to go up, I am so disappointed in all of the things they took away. First of all the menus on the wall behind where the customer orders is so small I could not read it (eyesight is still good…but not when the print is so small). Although the chicken tortilla soup wasn’t listed as a soup available when I asked they did have it (????). What the heck? It was very good though. Most disappointing was the “downsizing” they did of the salad bar…not as many ingredients…missing chocolate pudding, peaches, and my most favorite item deleted….mixed spicy nuts for toppings. Also took away the self-serve ice cream. I am tired of hearing that COVID has made these changes happen…..bull hockey, just an excuse! Higher prices less availability of the things my family and I enjoyed at Jason’s. I know I am just one person (actually many since I have 6 kids). Just lost is forever customer Jason’s….we’ll done! NOT!
Stone's throw from USAA across the street. This isn't a deli in the classic sense where they just sell meats and sandwiches. It's a restaurant that is unpretentious and serves a nice selection of lunch/dinner dishes. Generous portions, tastes good across the board, reasonable prices.
The last 3 orders we've placed for pickup have all been missing an item (a cup of soup, kid's drink, etc). Last time we placed an order we opened the bags to review in the restaurant and when we told the staff they couldn't have cared less. I like the food, but I'm not using this location again.
Sandwiches here are big and tasty. The pastrami and corned beef are right on point. The price is right, the portions are big and the service is great.
Love this restaurant! The easy ordering, the delicious hot food, and the free ice cream for dine in is always a pleasure! Highly recommend the baked potato and chicken noodle soup! ??
