Food is great, the only thing needing change is the server and his attitude towards guests. Tall thin guy, white, with dark brown hair. First he walks to our table but doesn't say anything, so I asked him if he needed something, he said he needed our drink order. I'm not sure why he didn't just say that instead of staring at us. He didn't offer menus, he assumed we only wanted the buffet, I wanted to order something off the menu but didn't get the opportunity. Then he brought one drink for 3 people, I said sir we ordered 3 drinks, the cashier brought us the other 2 drinks. He didn't offer any refills. I still tipped him (a little) because I felt sorry for him, but I like to tip more.
Great food! All my faves.
Clean location, attentive staff, always makes sure to clear out table & provide refills before even being waved down. But we keep coming back for their authentic food. The one hour & a half drive to SA is worth it & never disappoints
Everything I've had here is delicious. Love that there are vegan options available. Very accommodating in making vegan naan for us too. Thank you!!
i would give zero if i could but i cant give zero here. food is very dull and damp. not good for desi people at all. like seriously $15 buffet and you have choice on item of 8 thats it. seeiously if you are going here then think lot of time.
low quality food and service.
Another great meal at India Palace in San Antonio!Fresh chicken and Naan right from the tandoor!Great service and wonderful flavors. They also have mango pudding and khir for dessert.
Have been dining at the India Palace since the mid 1990’s at their 1st location. Pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Delicious foods, so many different types and flavors to sample! Outstanding customer service too.
My first time ever trying Indian food and this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Every single dish I had on my plate was so flavorful. I cleaned TWO plates and even the rice pudding and mango custard were good. Can’t wait to go back and bring friends for a new experience! Definitely recommend. And the best part, it’s a buffet!
The food is really good, but the buffet had no samosas and not a single spicy dish. They didn't even have any spicy pickles, chutney, etc. Also, I find the sauces to be thin, although flavorful. It's good, but the only meat on the buffet was chicken. I feel like I get a wider variety at other Indian buffets, even though Indian Palace probably has more dishes, because all the sauces run together on the plate and there was only two proteins: chicken and eggs.
