Food was mid at best. It was very hard, overcooked and stale. It was probably not fresh ingredients at all. When we came in we had less people to a party and yet were still skipped up so the servers friends would get a table first. The order came out wrong, appetizer was requested to be brought out first and it wasn't. I kind of want to voice my concern to the actual company IHOP because ever since the pandemic you all have seen an opportunity to cut costs by reducing your labor which is affecting your quality of product; but honestly companies like IHOP do not care about their customers anymore. This place is bad. I used to love IHOP but now it's just a cash trap with prices far above the quality. What a waste of pandemic loan money from the government to keep this place of "business" open. Early morning breakfast dining is dead. And I hope your corporate sees this; not that any of them will probably care.By the way, the 2 stars is for the large plate of fries I recieved. It was more than the normal, usual 6 to 8 fries I get with my meals usually when I came here. I'm probably not coming back again. I would have to be hard pressed between McDonald's and nothing else open to choose IHOP again.
First the good not busy at all ,waitress nice friendly attentive food was great, booths were clean Now The Bad 1st my coffee cup had lipstick on it buy the worst THE CHECK OVER $32 For breakfast almost $8 just for coffee & juice we could've gone to a restaurant for the check amount now I know why not busy at 9am unfortunately won't be back far more better options for less money.....
Ihop has pretty good breakfast and usually service is fast. But yesterday we got skipped over and people who got there after us were served food before us. And no discount or gratuity was given for making us wait a long time. But usually they are pretty good just not yesterday. We will see next time.
Brought the kids here after church last week. Our waitress was good in the beginning, but when she took her orders she didn’t write them down my daughter and her friend ordered chocolate chip pancakes but she brought them the double chocolate chip pancakes we ask for more coffee she only gave me one refill and didn’t give my daughter any took forever to get a refill on our water we just had to keep asking for everything she ignored our table after we got our food and another waiter had to get her attention for me after waiting over 20 minutes to get my bill she then had a bit of attitude . I’m very big on customer service and it was not here I understand everybody’s busy but you don’t need to have an attitude. The food was good though.
Food was good. The server was good until the end. We now pay with the server. She was busy when I was ready to pay the bill. Another person stepped in, and I told him I qualify for a military discount. I offered him my ID, but he said just showing it was enough. My server met him at the cash register and finished the transaction. When she brought me the receipt to sign, I noticed I didn't get my discount. When I pointed this out to her whole attitude was, Oh well I wasn't told about it, so too bad. Well guess what, the tip I was leaving was equal to my discount! So too bad no tip for you!!
Went in around 11 pm for a late bite before we and a couple of friends had a drink before heading home. We were almost ignored but then nicely asked to wait because they were full but half the restaurant was closed off. We waited and waited. After 15 minutes we left. The part that was annoying was that I went to the restroom and tables were being used on the closed side but we’re being used by employees. How hard is it to open a table or two than to make your customers wait over 10 minutes to sit down and get so upset and just leave. Is it not possible to serve one or two tables and then clean it up. I was hesitant to go in the first place because of things like this and now I’ll have more reasons to go by. Also the man that was sitting the people I guess the host, he looked like a kitchen cook the way he was dressed. There should be a more stringent dress policy for people meeting and greeting everyone that comes in the restaurant
The employees were WONDERFUL. The menu was not as listed on the website for THAT restaurant. I had a Philly Cheese steak sandwich and the meat was tasty BUT the meat was cooked dry❗ I have never had a Philly Cheese steak sandwich cooked dry like that❗I had wanted a Pot roast sandwich ... "Oh, that's no longer on the menu" and the strawberry banana cheesecake ... " Oh, that's no longer on the menu either, we only have ice cream." It was January and the AC was blasting. I had to wear a jacket the entire time I was there. I guess the wanted to keep the cooks comfortable ?. Oh well. The Splash berry drink, not on the printed menu was very good. Will not be returning to IHOP ❗ ?
This place is disorganized. The waiting area is dirty, the booths are filthy. The tables are somewhat wiped down , but they obviously just throw the food on the floor There’s no one greeting you as you arrive . Asked for a manager , John , the manger was in the kitchen throwing customers food on the counter. Terrible service. In a time where cleanliness is a high priority…. This place should be shut down . Manager John obviously doesn’t care.Don’t come here. If you don’t catch Covid , you’ll walk away with food poisoning of some sort.
The worst service we have ever seen in San Antonio. We waited for more than an hour for food and was requested by the waiter to take off as he forgot to put the order in system. Not even an apology for the service.
We went this morning about midnight. I had never been to this location before. It was busy but Julius waited on us and gave us top notch service. He was very polite and quick. Our food was delicious. The other waitress in there wasn’t ours but she was hard at work also. A little energizer bunny not only waiting on tables but cleaning also. I never leave reviews but you never hear of the good mostly just complaints. Will definitely be back.
