We stayed here for our anniversary. I specifically picked it for the on-site spa and how relaxing the whole place looked (lazy river, nature trails, etc). We were able to check in early and they gave us a free bottle of champagne when we mentioned it was our anniversary. The rooms seemed slightly outdated, but very comfortable and clean. We had a great view to the lazy river area. Not many people there on a Tuesday so our room and everywhere else was pretty quiet. The spa was fabulous. We enjoyed the lazy river afterwards which was the most peaceful lazy river I've ever been to. That evening we went to Charlie's and played darts and had a blast! My husband wasn't thrilled with the beer choices there, though. Overall it was a great stay!

Hyatt Hill Country resort and golf course are absolutely amazing. The overall resort experience is great for business as well as family trips. The golf course is outstanding with a setup of 27 holes. The Creeks and Lakes 9 hole courses are my favorite. If you prefer a challenging tight course the 9 hole Oaks course is for you.

Mac at the front desk was amazing and knew all of the Hyatt status benefits. Troy was awesome at valet. Stacy was excellent at Springhouse cafe. Our family stay was great with a few exceptions. The hot tubs did not work the first 3 days. There is a lot of pollen and tree “shedding” - not the hotels fault but it would have been appreciated to see someone skimming the pool and lazy River from time to time. We loved the slides and flow rider. We golfed as well and that was also excellent!

The grounds are lovely, the staff and food were excellent, and our family had a wonderful time. That being said, the rooms are in serious need of renovation. Everything is very old and rundown. Our toilet leaked at the wall so there was always a puddle of water in front of the toilet. Our sink was cracked down the middle, the carpet and furnishings were old and beat up. If it was a budget hotel it would have been fine, but we spent almost $3,000 for a suite with a connecting additional bedroom for two nights and I feel that the room was sub par. At that price, I expected the rooms to be much nicer. It is definitely time to update, Hyatt.

4/5 only because as others said rooms are very dated and old and really really need a facelift! That being said everything else was phenomenal! Our room even though was old was very clean, if we needed something in came in a minute, everyone was extremely polite, great service, Antler restaurant was amazing, pools were clean and kids loved the playground and bikes. We have lived in San Antonio and now in the hill country for the past 10 years and never knew this hotel existed! We will definitely be back but I do hope they will do updating to the rooms!

Super rude and careless front staff. Electricity went out multiple times. Horrible beds and old rooms. Tvs in rooms did not work staff had to come in multiple times to fix. And this cost us a fortune for a 3 night stay. Sad. But really just the rudeness of staff upon check in was pathetic.

Spa service and amenities were amazing and we would highly recommend them but the hotel experience wasn’t great. Loud construction work (electric sawing and hammering) started outside our window on stairs going up to lobby from pool area early in the morning which prevented the ability to sleep once it started. Service in seated section (away from bar) at Charlie’s Long Bar was possibly the worst we’ve ever had in any restaurant. Long wait for food, 1 of 2 entrees was wrong, had to grab our waitress to correct order, corrected order took exceptionally long time, once done with all food and beverages and having flagged down the waitress to ask for check, she didn’t bring it after 10 minutes (we could see her socializing entire time) then we went to bar to request check and she brought it with no acknowledgement of previously asking for it. Would have understood if the restaurant had been busy or understaffed but it was near empty and there was ample staff - socializing with each other. But food, once order and corrected, was decent.

We just spent a 2 night weekend here and left disappointed. I want to say that the staff was gracious and professional holding up the standard I would expect for a location like this. We met wonderful Texans working there that made us smile and salvaged our visit from being a complete nightmare. That aside I have 2 major complaints that will keep me from returning.-I woke up multiple times throughout the evening hearing people walking on the floor above us. Felt like a cheap apartment. I saw other reviews noting the place needs to freshened up and that's accurate. The paint, door handles, mirrors are all failing. The elevators were extremely dirty.-The mask policy is pathetic. Masks are not required anywhere on the property for guests EXCEPT the spa. You know, because Covid knows if you're and employee, or if you're in a spa according to "the Hyatt's science". This is the 1st time we were told to put a mask on in so long I cant remember. Even the instructor in the wave pool was wearing a mask (water splashing on his face) when guests were there. This woke class system of mask wearing is disgusting and I won't patronize businesses that support it.

We stayed there for a 2 night travel before Christmas to SeaWorld. We were surprised how beautiful and well managed the establishment was considering it is only a category 4 Hyatt.Building itself is old, but kept very clean and nice, which to me, shows that the management cares about the assets. Besides, the architectural design by any means is better than many new buildings we see around these days.To me, a place is only as good as the memories it leaves behind. The time I spent with my son in the kids play ground is enough for me to remember this hotel forever. The smell of the burning logs in the open fire pits in the distance, mixed with the morning chill and old oaks towering over the playground, and being part of it, was so balanced that, to me, seemed only next to perfection. Finally, and to be just, we were greeted as Hyatt globalist members and stayed on free night awards there. It might have had something to do with my positive feelings about the hotel.
