Stopped by this lovely evening..had the fried calamari huge pieces but a little skimpy on the quantity..tried the spicy kanikama roll so delish! The Texas heat roll was the bomb! A light kick but yummy. Tried the heart attack roll was just soso for me. Tried the Kirin Ichiban beer...reminded me of Shiner..had a few not bad at all. Leo was our waiter! Loved him! He was on top of it...great service great personality!
Great service, great food, and great prices! My new favorite spot for Asian classics ❤Pictured: Spicy Crab Roll, Hot Sake, and Shrimp Yakisoba. Yummy! ?
Craving sushi for lunch, I stumbled across Hugo's. An awesome little sushi joint with a great atmosphere.I ordered the chicken teriyaki with no veggies. Probably one of the best teriyakis I've had. The sauce was flavorful and the chicken was juicy.I tried the Toro Roll for the sushi and it was outstanding. The habanero sauce and jalapenos made it a spicy unique experience. Texas meets Japan.Service was rapid and excellent, I was checked on consistently. I will be back!
This is your new favorite sushi restaurant. The founders of Hugo’s honed in their skills for years before following their dreams to open a top notch sushi restaurant. Besides being knowledgeable of the product they sell they also happen to be some of the best, kindest guys I have ever met. Give them a shot, you won’t regret it!
I think that the reviews I saw before going there are fake...or outdated, because I ordered some sushi today and the store first seemed clean and quiet and the worker there was nice, but when I checked my order I was surprised how the food was like from yesterday, no taste at all and when you eat it it's like you're eating plastic..very dry and hard to shew and horrible. Even the presentation is very bad... This is the worst sushi I've ever eaten...and the price is huge compared to this quality.!!!! I just can't recommende this place to someone else!!!. You can go to other locations all around this place if you want to eat a real and good sushi!!!!
Mediocre experience. We had a friendly waiter, greeted us quickly. We ordered two rolls, the Toro and Red Dragon as well as, Bulgogi. Then we got hit with extremely bland food. The sushi probably had the smallest amount of fish you could put on a roll to legally charge for it (see photos). They also didn't serve it with ginger and wasabi...had to ask for that. The bulgogi was a generous portion but didn't taste like Bulgogi.Overall it was a mediocre experience that just didn't justify the price. Unfortunately for them there are too many other options out there that offer better sushi and Asian cuisine.
First time dining here and my family and I were not disappointed. We enjoyed delicious fried sushi, some of their entrees, and miso soup. Our server was amazing with great customer service. Price was right for all the food ordered. Will definitely come back again.
Nice Little Place. We were driving by and thought we would try. Sake was delicious. Sushi rolls were flavorful. If you want a quick bite that is flavorful and not those stuffy chain places around town. This is an enjoyable place to stop in. Will definitely go back to try other yummies on the menu.
I ordered Godzilla and Tempura rolls both comes with cream cheese in it and literally only 2 slices had about 5mm of cheese. When I called to complain management said they couldnt do anything since I ordered thru door dash. Ummm sir door dash didn’t make my rolls. Terrible customer service and they ripped me off everyone knows cream cheese is what make the roll even better.
Very unassuming and very basic restaurant, but, with really good food! Most times I'll get a few rolls and one will be just OK. We ordered two and some yakisoba noodles and EVERYTHING was good. Really good. The roll pictured is the Halloween roll, which was only offered for a limited time.
