After 23 years, we returned to The River Walk. We experienced excellent service and a very friendly atmosphere at Hotel Valencia. We used their valet parking, their bar and the restaurant below the hotel. Very good food.
This is a great hotel for business travelers to San Antonio. Located on the river walk downtown next to the good restaurants like Bohannon’s and others. The hotel restaurant is very good with a bar service for a quick quality meal and drink after a busy day. The receptionist, Larissa was friendly and efficient. Very professional. My large and extremely nicely furnished room overlooked historic Houston street. The big desk is a plus. It is definitely not the cookie cutter room found in so many chain hotels that are easily forgettable.
1st time visiting San Antonio and I enjoyed my stay from the moment I entered the hotel. Rooms were clean! Staff was always on point and willing to help with getting a cab and if you needed to have your room cleaned later in the day it was just a simple phone call to the front desk. I felt very welcomed and that my business was appreciated which was very cool! I’ll definitely be booking another stay here because it was really a nice time. Thank you for making my stay in San Antonio memorable!
I loved this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We held a training in their Verona meeting room and it was not only an affordable space, but they provided a coffee and water station as part of the space rental fee. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and quiet. The bar is quaint and not a rowdy hotel bar. It's the perfect hotel for those who want to stay on the Riverwalk and not be bombarded by the noise of parties and tourist groups. It will become my go to hotel when I stay in San Antonio.
Sydney was a wonderful server. We were not greeted and seated by a conscientious person who came to the host stand -we asked if we could sit outside and instead of showing us to our table as the sign at the host stand implied, he just gave us menus and said seat yourselves where you want outside (very few customers in the restaurant). We had never been to this restaurant and were caught off guard at the abruptness and not quite sure where to go. My husband and I made our way outside and discussed table options; waitress overheard us and said only seating in another area even though silverware and serving plates set up on tables closer to a better view. Sydney apologized for her colleague and confusion, and worked hard to be very attentive to our order, even bringing out a waffle appetizer to make up for the negative start to our experience at this restaurant. Food was expected. My order was not to her satisfaction prior to bringing to me so she had the cook redo it. The best part was Sydney’s service and caring for customers.
This is amazing hotel for location to Riverwalk and a luxurious experience. The only concern I had was there was no vending or hotel store for water and drinks. A can of soda was $6.50, bottled water in room $5. However there was a Walgreens a few blocks away.
Love the Valencia. Location is great, just off the too busy part of the Riverwalk, as are the rooms. Stay there regularly and will do so again. And Sydney at the restaurant was quick and efficient for a rushed breakfast.
We came for empanadas and left with nothing but smiles. Sydney was attentive, professional and all-around superb! Our experience really complented the food and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant and would ask for her by name. Well done Sydney :)
Sydney Norris was our server. Sydney is absolutely precious, great customer service. She was a delight. Food was delivered quickly and delicious… food was plated well for a great presentation. Sydney help us to find the best adult beverage to enjoy.
We had a wonderful visit at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk. We ate breakfast at the hotel and had a wonderful server named Sydney who was very professional and a great server! She was very energetic and kind.
