It was just okay. What I liked: prices. What I didn’t like: 1.it was a little too warm, made us a little uncomfortable since it was super hot outside and the inside didn’t feel much better. I’m pretty sure I heard another table complain to the waitress. 2. I have a shellfish allergy and they put mine and my husbands sushis on the same plate. 3. They charge for sauces??????? 4. We were even half way done with our meals when the waitress asked if we wanted our check because she was going to now help a large group of people in a new table. We did feel a little rushed. I’ll just wait extra time at Kumori next time.
Ordered the UT roll to go, it was okay but I had asked for extra eel sauce and spicy mayo on the side (which they charged me for) but it was not in the bag when my husband got home. When I called to request a refund for the sauces I did not recieve, the host first asked if I wanted to come back to get them. I politely declined that offer and asked for a refund since my husband paid by card, but in order to get that refund, guess what? I have to drive all the way back there. And to make things better, I could hear the host and manager going back and forth about her supposedly putting the sauces in the bag, essentially calling me a liar. Why would I lie about extra sauce? At this point, I don’t really care about the extra sauce, but I am thoroughly irritated about how this was handled. All I have to say is, do better, especially when the quality of sushi isn’t that great. The least you could do is have better customer service.
Good food. Renovated. Affordable. HOWEVER: Do NOT order pick up from here. On 3 separate occasions, food was not placed in my bags. First time was forgiven, after the second time I did not go there for five months. My first time back, it happened again. They blame it on DoorDash, DoorDash says it’s the restaurants responsibility. Either way, you’re screwed out of your food and you’re screwed out of your money. I would highly recommend this place to dine in, But do not order takeout from here.
Better than most Japanese places in this area. Excellent sushi for the area. This is southern Texas. They have great lunch specials. Nigri sushi lunch was great! Some meals are even under $10!
Needs work but sushi is good. Often times this location is missing ingredients, they make up for it by upgrading your sides. I wouldn’t recommend using google to order as they have many online ordering apps n there’s some confusion. Best results when dining in.
Food was phenomenal, the waitress seemed a little overwhelmed so she was really behind on refills. Bringing our soup out, and order was taken wrong. But the food made up for how poor the service wasMe and my wife did the teppanyaki
We were really excited to try this place out because they offer sushi and other entree options, but we didn't get the chance. We called in to place our order for dinner only to find out that they were out of pork and chicken. The only meals I was interested in trying had pork and chicken. Not sure how a restaurant runs out of essential foods for a majority of their non-sushi entrees, but they managed to do just that. We ended up ordering food somewhere else.
Great service and wonderful food!! Was a great experience, both sushi and sesame chicken were awesome ?? very yummy!! Highly recommend.
New Year's eve dinner with friends was kinda disappointing. Four couples made reservations but nothing was set-up until we arrived, then a big scramble to set places and get chairs for seating. Each person had their entrees prepared separately after all were served with rice, therefore by the last person was served, their rice was cold. Vegetables weren't cooked until after all the entrees had been served, therefore the first ones served didn't get their vegetables until after they had finished the rest of their meals.
When my wife and I went for a recent birthday party service was a little slow, but it was explained to us that 2 cashiers were doing almost everything besides cooking so I understand. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The cook was funny, entertaining and seasoned the food well. Would recommend this for families, just remember it can be pricey. They didn't have lobster this past Saturday, hope to try it next time.
