I ordered a chorizo and egg, a carnitas, and a barbacoa taco. The chorizo and egg taco was great, probably my top 2 so far that I've tried. The carnitas were surprisingly very bland unfortunately. I also wasn't a big fan of the chunks of meat instead of being shredded since it was in taco form. I'm no expert on carnitas, so take that with a grain of salt. The star of the show was the barbacoa! Great depth of flavor along with being very tender and moist. I definitely regretted not getting more than one lol. Overall, I amxcited to be back sooner than later.4/5
Eggs were cooked well, not a lot of brown or overcooked, but every time I get from here there's ZERO salt in the eggs which makes for a very bland taco. Would love to get tacos from here on the reg but my complaint is so consistent every time I get from here.
OWNER POCKETS THE TIPS! Do not tip here. I spoke to 2 employees on separate occasions. This much is true. I like to eat breakfast here with the family. I will continue to eat there. I'm not going to lie. It's good food. Food is 4 stars, owner gets 1 star for taking tips. He is very nice and is cordial. He is almost always outside smoking cigarettes with his friends.Place is always clean. Employees are attentive and friendly. It almost saddens me to know that he takes all tips. While these great employees receive no tips.
While the La Costa taco is good, the rest leave something to be desired. Overly priced. There are definitely more authentic Mexican restaurants around that have lots more flavor and a way better price point. Even though I liked the La Costa taco, I don't see myself coming back any time soon.
Good tacos but they don't care about the clientele. I come in at 1339 hours as I see the sign off so I told the cleaner mopping you need a new sign and she said we are about to close. Then I order and they tell me are you taking it to go and I said why I can't eat Here and she says yes you can eat here but we close at 1400 hours no salsa available as the salsa bar was cleaned early because they want to leave early. The girl on the phone the whole time and got my order wrong... overpriced as well! Last time I will eat here !

Best Tacos in town!!! Friendly owner and staff. Authentic food on the North Side. Must try the costra taco, life changing mango juice, and the churros the owners daughter makes. Everything was fabulous!!!!!

This place is family friendly. They have a nice salsa bar. They have delicious juices and sodas. Their la costra taco is my (and family) favorite! It's so delicious! The trash can taco is so good too (the bacon is cooked to perfection). They have a brisket taco that my daughter loves (I think it's called bulldog taco). Will definitely visit this location often!
This place is amazing! It's become our Saturday morning tradition. Nothing but smiles and they are so great with our kids! It just happens to be a plus that their tacos are great too. Lol
