The tacos are huge! So are the burgers! Don't skip out on the sweet tea either.This mom n pop joint is awesome if you haven't been there yet.Staff was friendly and efficient, communicating with each other and of course the customers too.Try the Henry if you want, it's worth it!

I would give them 10 stars if I could!This is the BEST and ONLY restaurant I go to, especially for special occasions with my friends. If you are looking for good food at good prices, with good & friendly service -- this is the place! They never disappoint. We have ordered a variety of meals each time we are there and the food each time is excellent. This is the closest I have found to true "homecooked meals"! ENJOY!
Angelica our server, the best and sweetest.My wonderful family that blessed me to eat there, the best as well. The Food at Grumps was the best food that I have tasted in a very long time. I have been to Taco shops that look like Paris and charge like Paris for two tacos.... And it's nasty, no customer services, no nothing and the food was short and limited and you felt like after paying that you paid a car note. Grumps don't move stay right there, don't add nothing, I will wait one hour to sit in a dining room and order some twisters and watermelon and hopefully next time some mushrooms.... And then a meal and enjoy like we did before
Come one,come all.Hello comfort food in Flavor Town,USA! SATX, that is. Can someone please tell me why these guys don't have more locations around town? Amazing portions for the big appetites. Don't worry, you can take the rest home once you've had your fill. Everything is fresh, made to order and absolutely pleasing to the palate. The pancake was fluffy, cooked to perfection and delicious. Simply melted in my mouth. We went big on this first visit, had to. Steak and eggs ruined my vegan efforts, well worth it, lol. The eggs were rich with farm raised taste. NY strip was cooked medium rare as requested. Tender and juicy, just needed seasoning. Otherwise, delicious once I salted to taste. Considering the market and rising costs, still reasonable price for a Choice cut (at best.) I would order again, except next visit will require the chicken fried steak I can't seem to delete from my thoughts. Oh, the Tea is just right when ordering it 1/2 sweet and 1/2 regular. Added to the Opal nugget ice, perfect mix! Let's not forget the warm, soft, homemade biscuits. OMG, a must if you enjoy home cooking with that made like Grandma loving taste. This is a must for all you comfort foodies like me. One more ✅ off the bucket list for me! Love Grumpy's Mexican Cafe.
Chicken Fried Steak was a piece of Heaven. So glad we got this and shared since it was last order left that morning - amazing. Then we have had a beef fajita taco and and migas taco. The migas taco was amazing! The portions are huge here - so be aware of big eyes. We also brought home a cherry pie. There are no words for how amazing this pie was, did I mention they have several flavors of pie and danishs & muffins.Do yourself a favor And get breakfast at Grumpys!
Pretty neat place, looks like a hole in the wall but those are usually the best kind. Decoration was interesting and gave it a really unique vibe. The food was tasty, well portioned, with very fair prices. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing. Def check it out if you're interested in something other than standard chain restaurant.

We had an amazing experience in this restaurant . The waitress was super friendly and very talkative about other tourist locations to check out in S.A. She recommended we order their special of the day which was their biscuits and gravy. The plate came with bacon ,eggs, and hashbrowns. Great price , portion, & delicious. The only down side was that the restaurant was too small . The spot was extremely crowded when we entered so we had to get pass a few folks. Kind of hard not to bump into each other.
First off the food portions are big. Mind you i dont turn food down, however, I tried the beef enchiladas and did not like the sauce flavoring. Rice and beans were great, I love that the chips had visible salt and the green salsa had a great flavor! Next time I'll try the chicken fried steak. Great atmosphere, lots of nick knack tchotchke on the walls. Great service.
The cheeseburgers were awesome, nice homemade burger patty with steak fries. I saw Grumpy and his wife at the restaurant today and I placed a to go order of a bacon cheeseburger with fries for me and a coworker since I had been telling him about Grumpy's, when I got back to the office I got a patty and shoe string fries that I could have brought at Walmart. Total disappointment!!!
