I had forgotten all about this place until I was in the area. Now that I know where it is, definitely gonna go back. So many combinations to try, so little time
I went in to get lunch at Genghis Grill today and it was a great experience. My server Jennifer was so awesome and sweet, and the food was delicious. I'll definitely be coming back.
Im from Washington state and my cousin has talked about this place for 16 years, when she use to live in Texas. Now we here on vacation an i finally get to experience Genghis Grill for my self. I now know why she's always talking about this place. Definitely delicious and worth coming to Texas for.
I’ve been coming here for years and it seems like it gets worse every year. Today, I’ve had enough.The restaurant is extremely dirty, extremely understaffed, the meats didn’t seem to be properly frozen, and everything was sticky (including the booths and the food bar).Our food was extremely charred and overcooked when it came out. It’s like the grill was turned up too high. Both my broccoli and beef was very tough.I’m done with coming here.
The food was great! It was well tasty and proportioned. The way staff’s hospitality was phenomenal. Charles, our server, had great recommendations from the menu, was genuine, and had a joyful attitude. He was very attentive to our needs and remembered all of our names throughout the dining experience. Five star treatment all around.

I actually do love Genghis Grill, but recently we had a not so pleasant experience at the 1604 & 281 location in San Antonio, TX. Starting with our server. She was visibly sick and coughing all over the place, not to.mention that she wasn't wearing a mask to at least cover her coughs. Then when we approached the food bar, a lot of the containers were empty and others had only scraps, the grill was also very dirty with a thick layer of gunk that the cook was trying to clean, but he was busy having to cook over it. I hope this is the only time I experience this. As I mention before, I love Genghis grill, but I won't be going back, nor recommending this location to anyone.
Bowls were good but the shrimp appetizer was trash. 4 shrimp definitely not worth the cost, flavor wasn't great shrimp were cold when we got them, and low quality shrimp. Only recommend keeping meats simple here, beef or chicken. Otherwise was a good meal. One guy was being a very good waiter too walking around and checking all tables regularly.
We eat at this restaurant a lot and just recently came here and had the most amazing service from Austin and Charles. They were both very friendly and tentative! The food was amazing and the drink The Blue Dragon was awesome! Definitely recommend this place!!
Love eating healthy here after my daily workouts! I can create my own bowl w the huge variety of fresh veggies, ? meats & spices. Bowls are always served fresh & hot and the Staff is super Friendly & Attentive!?? Their margaritas are really good also!??
