I come to SA from Houston once a week and discovered Frederick's just last night. It will be where I eat when I'm here every time. The menu is very well thought out and executed perfectly. I've never had escargot prepared the way it is here, and am now ruined. I just won't order it anywhere else. I sat at the bar, which was packed with what are clearly regulars with discerning palettes. It was a lively and humorous atmosphere, with the owner, Frederick, smack dab everywhere, inspecting what he expects. I can't praise this place enough. Go. Just go. See and taste for yourself.

Ryan is always the best bartender/server. I love when we end up with him. We have recently moved our monthly business happy hour to this location and it is always lovely. Ryan is polite and professional and keeps our drinks and appetizers plates full and our table clean. Superb! I look forward to many more times here.

Always great food and even better service. The fusion of different culinary styles is amazing. Frederick has been a staple in San Antonio for decades and has never once disappointed.

After paying a visit, I can tell why this restaurant is a neighborhood staple. Ambiance and were attentive and quickly got us seated after a minimal wait. The bistro type menu and upscale feel made for a great atmosphere and cool experience. Would definitely recommend the house salad and collard greens. The steamed vegetables are also delicious. For main course, we got the Filet, crab cakes, and Smoked Salmon. All delicious!!

Had drinks and dinner last night. The bar was cool for drinks before and the main restaurant had nice ambiance. Appetizer and food was excellent. The take on escargot was different but tasty. We had the halibut which was phenomenal. Excellent service throughout our whole visit. Definitely going back.

Excellent find for French onion soup. A white linen restaurant tucked away off of Huebner @ NW Military. The capers in the homemade tartar sauce were great with the crab cake.

We have been dining at Fredricks for years. Several hundred times at least. Always great service and the food is outstanding. They also have a very affordable Happy Hour Bar menu too. Don't pay any attention to Kevin's unfounded comments and personal insults below. We each like what we like and clearly Applebee's is more Kevin's kind of thing. If you want to hang out somewhere significantly better than at Applebee's with Kevin, go to Fredricks.

Funny. We didn't actually eat there because we changed our minds. They were so gracious and understanding so we left a tip anyway. Thank you Fredericks staff!

Fish entrees are always excellent! Eager to try the duck confit which they were out of on my last visit. The osso buco is a mountain of amazingly delicious meat.

My husband celebrated my birthday at this restaurant and I couldn't have asked for more. The ambience, the service and the food were excellent, and the owners were constantly making sure that everybody was having a nice evening. All our friends left the restaurant with an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this place.
